Time understanding the lack of sensitivity
Of so many Russia immigrants who
Fail to see how they poke a finger in the eye
Of most Jews and 4,000 years of Jewish
Civilization’s prohibition against eating
Pork and shell fish in so doing they
Separate themselves from most Israelis
Who can’t mix socially with them Don’t
They realize they live in a part of the world the Middle East
Where this is a taboo not only with Jews
But Moslems as well I had hoped they had
Come to help rebuild our special Jewish
Civilization Hebrew Shabbat and Kashrut
Are our national identities . I am sure that
The many Russian immigrants found in
Arab villages married to Moslems don’t
Eat pork why then among Jews do they
So publicly reject Kashrut and Shabbat ?
