The Poles, along with their Eastern European counterparts, took part in some of the worst atrocities of the 2nd World War. The Nazis got them to collaborate under the pretense of "fighting Jewish communism." Many anti-semites and Nazi apologists still use this schtick today, to justify their horrid actions. It was impossible for groups like the Einsatzgruppen to accomplish their dirty deeds without the help of local collaboration. No to mention the Trawnikis. You know, the people who ran the death and concentration camps. They were mostly non-German citizens of countries previously conquered by the Germans. Poles, Ukranians, Latvians, etc, gave up their fellow Jewish countrymen to the Nazis by the thousands. Sure, there were some Poles who helped, but their good deeds were far outweighed by the bad ones. Now, I imagine that the comments section will soon fill up with Poles trying to justify the actions of their countrymen. No doubt, their comments will be full of blatant anti-semitism and hateful speech. I find it kind of ironic that these people try to cover up the anti-semitic crimes of their countrymen, while at the same time spewing anti-Jewish drivel. They can try to make laws to repudiate the past, but history is not on their side.
