This is the manifestation and reality of Gog and Magog in the so-called holy Land. Ezekiel 38:19.
2. I'm not religious at all.
Jake ,   Dallas   (01.29.18)
But I find the arrogant liberal condescending response to prayer to be absurd. There are people (on the Left) who believe in literally ANYTHING. Arafat was a peace partner, Islam means peace, socialism works, government intervention can change the weather. They believe it all.

5. Reservoirs still suffering a major water deficit
Raymond in DC ,   Washington   (01.29.18)
While the recent rainfall was welcome, with major reservoirs still well below healthy levels after five winters of below-average rainfall, more rain is needed. We'd just like it to come "slow and steady", rather than in episodic torrents that result in flooding and too much runoff into the sea to be of lasting value.

10. There is a misunderstanding
Big Yossi   (01.30.18)
Toward the end of Dec., the Chief Rabbi, along with most other leading rabbis, instructed people to add a special prayer that is recited during a drought. In view of the recent rains, the Chief Rabbi and the others have indicated to stop reciting the additional prayer. But, the regular prayers -- including those for rain -- continue. That's the whole story.
