4. Irans strategy makes no sense
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (01.30.18)
Can ANYONE explain just why the Iranian Government will risk the entire economic future and wellbeing of Iran by spending up to 20% of its entire GDP in its desire for regional hegemony and domination

Apart from the RG, the theocratic and clerical elite and Nasrallah now reputed one of the wealthiest men in the region NO ONE IN IRAN WINS

And apart from these eye watering costs even an advanced economy could not absorb..who says in any event Iran will be able to succeed in these grandiose military ambitions
5. Good article.. But the premise that Putin needs Netanyahu to
Rafi ,   US   (01.30.18)
travel to Russia to tell him (Putin) what HIS (Putin's) interests in the region are.. seems quite shaky, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Likewise if you're sitting in the Kremlin, the premise that the "guiding principle of the current relationship between Russia and Israel is 'Do not harm my interests, and I will not harm yours.' "... seems far-fetched...

Russia is clearly the overwhelming nuclear super-power elephant in the room - while Israel is just another regional power, not unlike Turkey or Iran, that he has to deal with.

In Putin's eyes how could there be equivalency between Israel & Russia?
