4. distinction between "pro-govt forces" vs. "govt forces" ??
this seems very murky. What exactly are "pro-govt forces"?
Since when do militias, guerrillas, or rebel forces have "tanks and artillery" that attack "in formation"?
Does the Assad regime still have coherent armored formations that are not protecting Damascus, other large cities - and can be deployed that far to the east?
The only other candidate in the region for such a description would be... Erdogan's TURKEY
Wonder what the real story is here... ?
