1. haredi leaders need to be legislated to go into the idf
maury   (02.25.18)
enough of this pacific ism. study can be halted for a few hours daily self defense.

a big factor in antisemitism today are the manner and customs of the haredi on full display-dress code, studious, submissive -exactly the type that bullies easily pick on and beat. is it right? Of course not> in a perfect world, this would not be. however in the rough and tumble world with bullies looking for easy pickings, haredi are easy targets.

worse, bullies generalize the haredi type to all Jews so we pay for it extra.

haredi leaders should be jailed if they violate laws. it is not fair to the kids tor their leaders to produce generations of physical weaklings.

4. draft all these rock-throwing brats into KP, laundry duty

work their butts off until they become good citizens instead of professional schnoorers & ganefs

So you want to use the IDF as an instrument of punishment, like the cantonists in the Czar's army 150 years ago? That will really make the IDF into an even more effective fighting force, right? Great advice from your perch in the USA. Your distance from Israel must be preventing you from hearing that the IDF admits that about half of the young people obligated to serve in the army are ultimately NOT drafted. Only a fraction of these are haredi yeshiva students. For 70 years, the IDF seems to have been doing quite well without the help of the yeshiva students. All of a sudden, they are now needed?
6. be anti-pacisfist with our ennemies
Vincent C. ,   Israel   (02.26.18)
The Jewish garb only permits easier identification of the Jewish target. But antisemitism is independent of the the Jewish Garb. Instead of pointing to the Jewish victim that has the courage to dress like a Jew, it's antisemitic acts that should be condemned. Anyway, I still remember the first time I saw a group of israeli secular teens in a trip abroad when I still was not Isreali. their apalling manners are also identifiable. "Casuality" is so anchored in the israeli culture that they also distiguish themselves this way I which people would show your "enough with this pacifism" with our enemies. Because of the leftist disease of behaving more gentile than the gentiles themselves, we do not allow us to crush our ennemies the Jewish way and we are left with idiotic and dangerous strategies of "mowing the grass". Please tell us which laws did the Haredi leaders violate? When you see that prosecutors manage to condemn even past chief rabbis, don't you think they would do the same for any other leader? And if not, it's probably because they know that if they did so, there would be a full-fledged civil war as thousands of their followers would just protect them with their bodies. As we saw today in the news, the judicial and political system rest is built on the faith of the public. without faith, there is no system. The British learned it in Ireland. Widespread civil disobedience basically lead to the breakdown of the British rule in Ireland.
7. Wich pockets?
Vincent C. ,   Israel   (02.26.18)
Less than 0.5% of state budget goes to yeshivot.
8. Abolish the draft
Vincent C. ,   Israel   (02.26.18)
We don't need a draft any more. Several military experts attest that. Let's abolish it and move to a professional army with optional voluntary service. You cannot pretend to be a free country if you coerce people in the army against their will. The only remaining reason for the draft is social engineering unfortunately. And if you forcefully draft people into the army for this reason, what's the difference with the authoritarian regimes?
