you can have all kinds of generals who brag about being leftist joining gabbay. it won't help much. evidence is in-Oslo, Gaza, west bank withdrawals led to exponential increase in death and maiming. no peace is around the corner. idf cannot withdraw 1 cm further. when generals get older,t hey all say the same thing-withdraw-we are tired of fighting. what the hell-try peace.
Arab strategy is to pocket each concession and then increase terror pressure.
gabbay like livni doesn't understand defensible borders no matter how much you educate him. he cannot understand it.
i personally would not follow generals like diskin and yadlin, and even dagan saying make concessions and sit back. Israel has at times to be bold. gabbay is not strong-why else would he pick herzog as his stand- herzog who is one of the weakest leaders in Israeli history.
as ehud barak said, there is no mercy for the weak in the middle east. gabbay is weak. lots of generals won't help him. barak also said lie detectors don't work in the middle east so arabs signing a document is worthless.

It is scary to know that many IDF leaders belong to a party that wants to divide Jerusalem and turn Israel into a defenseless 9 mile wide concentration camp on the altar of evil, fictional "Palestine". This is more proof Israel needs to drain the leftist swamp and end the destructive Deep State in the IDF, security establishment, courts, academia etc.
