i believe yaalon changed the rules to allow gazans to ' farm right up to the fence'/. yalaon was likely a good trigger man but as the gaza war showed, not a good planner or leader. i would not support him as defense minister again.

no gazan should be allowed 100 meters from the fence of face being shot ie a no mans land.

the same applied to expanding gazan fishing zones.

israeli generals shoujld focus on fighting war and planning and keep away from economics.
