Why the IDF attempts to close tunnels "without killing Islamic Jihad or Hamas members" is a mystery to me! The best deterrent would be to wait until a maximum number of these creatures are in the tunnel creating it and to then seal boths ends off and let nature take its course.It not only would quickly decrease the number of present tunnelers, but would most assuredly decrease the urge of any new ones to sign up.
