He was already wealthy as Midas. He had fame and fortune and respectability. But the glutton piece of trash wanted more. He thought nobody would notice his backdating options. Just shows you his true personality: no integrity, just a selfish boor. How many people lost their jobs because of him? He breached his fiduciary duty to the shareholders and should have been held to a higher standard.

But then, the American bankers responsible for the financial implosion got away with no jail time at all. Yeah, let him out. Compared to the those bastards, he doesn't even rate.
