This should not have been announced. It will of course encourage more terrorists to try and infiltrate the border. The 3 men should have been shot dead. When they failed to return home , their fellow terrorists would have got the message.

When you find one tunnel assume there are more. When you capture armed infiltrators ...... assume there are more. This was not a one time situation. The citizens of southwest Israel should be on the alert for more Hamas assaults. The IDF have proven they are not perfect ...... nor close to it.

If 3 could sneak in, 30 or 300 can sneak in. Knives and hand grenades? Does anyone think they were going to be used for peaceful activities in Israel?

Why didn't the IDF immediately go to the section of the border where the alarm was sounded? Wasn't ANYONE even curious? What does it take? Grenades exploding in army bases or privates houses? Loaded with weapons, I don't think the Arabs were trying to claim asylum!

Here we are, days away from Passover and days away from the mass march of the Arabs. This surface excursion by these Arabs was just another red herring to make the IDF focus their attention on surface disturbances while the tunnel attack is being readied.

Tens of thousands of Arabs driving around and milling about the border will mask all tunnel activity. The IDF must be ready for this.
