1. Retake Gaza and end the root cause of all the terror
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.29.18)
Israel should not "live with" the terror resulting from our disastrous retreats. Instead we need to retake Gaza forever and end the root cause of all the torment. The same applies generally to Israeli retreats. They are total disasters and must be reversed.
2. Israel should start to relate to Gazans as neighbors
Khalid Amayreh ,   Jerusalem   (03.29.18)
One doesn't behave toward neighbors the way Israel does.

Israel "excelled" in the use of the big-stick approach toward Gaza. It is time iSRAEL hais tried the big-heart approach.

....that is of course if Israel has a heart let alone a bog one! Or perhaps I am being too naive in thinking this way.
3. residents of surrounding towns-organize
eli   (03.28.18)
no need to be in fear. residents of surrounding towns organize and arm yourselves. conduct patrols. if you see terrorists, shoot them.
4. Khalid, seriously?
David ,   Hartford USA   (03.29.18)
When Israel's neighbor digs tunnels under their houses, launches rockets into their backyards, holds 100,000 people "We hate Israel" demonstrations, and perpetually claims to be working towards the eradication of Israel, exactly what makes you think that it is Israel who needs to try the 'big-heart' approach?

Hamas brainwashes its citizens, threatens the ones who don't agree with them, and is a corrupt an organization as any criminal gang that has ever existed on the planet!

Israel walked away from Gaza. If Hamas hadn't launched rockets into Israel and dug tunnels into Israel, Israel would have nothing to do with it.

I don't understand why you think it's Israel that has to show the big heart when Hamas is the one acting belligerent. Recall that Hamas is the group that threw gays and opponents off rooftops when they took control.

Israel isn't digging tunnels into Gaza. Israel doesn't shoot rockets into Gaza unprovoked. Israel washed its hands of Gaza.

Hamas wants to be important. It isn't. It's a backwater that's of no consequence to Egypt or Israel. It's a nuisance, nothing more. If the people of Gaza want to be part of a thriving Israeli economy, they must overthrow Hamas and decide to be civil. Can they do it? I really don't think so.

They have been weaned on Jew-hatred and jihad-martyrdom bullsh-t provided by Hamas (and Abbas and Arafat) for years. The people of Gaza have either been castrated and are too afraid to demand freedom, or they fully support Hamas.

What do you think the people of Gaza want, Khalid? Would you show a 'big heart' considering that two Hamas terrorists just infiltrated from Gaza several miles into Israel, equipped with knives and HAND GRENADES??

As the old English saying goes, "Good fences make good neighbors."

Israel has built a good fence. Hamas just won't stay on its own side and be a good neighbor. Why is that?
