Man, the next time Ynet tries to ridicule some Orthodox Jewish custom, just remember the fierce "halachic" controversy over this absurd business of who gets to speak at the "sacrosanct" Independence Day ritual. What cosmic damage will be inflicted on the universe if the PM attends or speaks? Perhaps protocol should deny the Honduran president the right to light a torch at the celebration, thereby obviating the need to issue a "heter" for the PM to participate? Since when are rituals and customs so important to seculars? Pathetic and hysterical.
