please do remember that Supreme Court Chief Justice Hayut was hand-picked by and confirmed the Israeli right wing ruling party.
She is not a compromise Supreme Court Chief Justice she is the right wing's choice.
So please do resist your natural instincts to be ignorant do NOT even think of saying that she's a leftist...she is NOT.
She is the Supreme Court Chief Justice of the Land and she commands respect and intelligence in a manner that none of you will never attain!

I doubt that any country has it right but for democracy to operate effectively it needs a system of checks an having and balances i.e. a separation of executive, legislative and judicial powers. Otherwise, democracy can mean little more than elected dictatorships.
