Whoever said they were? This sounds like an Aunt Sally - setting up someone or something in order to knock it down. An independent judiciary is indispensable for the operation of a democracy. Yes, a parliament makes the laws and the government executes them. The judiciary exists to check that the laws are being executed fairly and reasonably, and in accordance with the intentions of the lawmakers.Can't see what's wrong with that.. .

The High Court can't be allowed to continue in its present form. In the first place, judges have no business making laws. M.K.s are elected to make laws. The ONLY legitimate role of judges is to interpret laws. Period. The High Court must be made subservient to the Knesset.

Secondly, the composition of the High Court must change to reflect the will of the vast patriotic majority of Israel and Israel's best interests. Leftist High Court judges are anything but godly. They should all be replaced by patriots.

That all they do. Judges are chosen for their ethics or moral views. Whether it is Israel. Canada United States or Europe. No country has a supreme court that considers the human conditions.

Not even the United Nations has an ethical or moral stand on human rights.
Judges follow the court of Law.

It is the political leader of any country and his congress that will ultimately go against or for what judgement is made.

Judges are humans who study law. which usually has very little to do human rights anywhere in the world.
