4. IF Israel made housing & work here priotity they would come
JewsStillinEurope?!! ,   Jerusalem Israel   (04.23.18)
Some are migrating to French Anti Semitic Quebec Canada
we are told ?! Serious Jews come to Israel sacrifice and
work to build the nation and safeguard their children and
grandchildren from assimilation hard to feel sorry for those
who refuse to leave or seek an alternative ghetto but worse
Israeli governments make housing and work prospects nearly
impossible for new Jewish immigrants.

7. save jewish baby is not jew hating
noam ,   north   (04.23.18)
infants must be protected from cuts and wounds. the baby is healthy there is no urgent need to cut or do surgery before the son can consent. rabbis who struggle for the "privilege" to mark their religion on another person's body? that is disgusting to treat a baby like cows to mark ownership at least 7 years in prison for a surgeon who cuts any healthy baby to deter circumcision and more for non-surgeons who cut. at least as big a punishment as "breaking a window to enter a house" even before stealing. perhaps if courts would punish some parents then immediately much less babies will suffer.

10. There is proof circumcision is medically beneficial
Brenton ,   Zion   (04.24.18)
There is no question that circumcision reduces risk of infection and STDs. Anyone who remains opposed despite the clear evidence has ulterior motives and hates Jews. What other reason can be given? To prevent pain? I have never heard a doctor advise anyone not to have a surgery done because it might hurt briefly. To prevent bones from healing out of place, doctors have to rebreak them. There is no scientific basis for not removing cancer when possible because it might hurt. The later consequences would be far worse.
11. Jewish Grandpa with Uncircumcised Intact Grandson
Jason ,   Eugene, Oregon   (04.25.18)
Science is defeating religious superstition. Hence all the empty pews in so many churches and synagogues. Do we really want to live in a world where so called religious rights trump the comfort, safety, intactness and well-being of children? Do we want to go back to the time when sacrificing virgins to appease the gods, to improve our crop yield and hunting success, trumped the rights of humans? Human rights should always trump religious superstition and ancient covenants. This is not anti-semitism. This is human decency. If preserving foreskins is the number one ritual of a religion, could it be that this religion is fast approaching its expiration date in terms of relevance to modernity?
BTW, I am a circumcised Jew with a stunningly cute uncircumcised grandson.

14. Jason; I am curious: In Oregon do Jews try understand...
Moshe Israel ,   Tivon, Israel   (09.10.18)
Jason;
I am curious: In Oregon do Jews try understand the Torah ( what is called Old Testament ) ? even in English ?
I am not asking if they believe in 613 commandments, or whether Noah
actually built an Ark.

I am asking if Jews understand the difference between the Big Bang or that
God created (in some way) the Universe, the Earth, and Time ?

I am asking if they understand the 10 commandments , NOT if they keep
try to Shabat .
Do you understand my question?
15. moishe rabeynu
moishe   (10.30.18)
if the law bans circumcision, Jews who want to live in Iceland must send a male child to a country near by that permits circumcision. or not live in Iceland. a majority who are not Jews have the right enact a law to ban circumcision if it is supported by that majority of its citizens. circumcision is not a right that restricts ones freedom. even in a democratic society you do not have the right to do as you wish if it is not appreciated by most people in your area.
16. Ms
Lyn Reher ,   Chicago   (11.08.18)
It's call, 'sexual mutilation'.
17. That is a total lie
Sallee Eriera   (12.18.18)
Just came back from an incredible trip to Iceland, we travelled extensively around the whole island, when people heard that we were Jews/Israelis, they were interested, friendly and very warm. I hate these lying religious fear and hate mongers.
18. Special treatment?
Brendan Cleary ,   Brisbane   (01.30.19)
The notion that a law requiring all Icelanders not to mutilate, in any way, their children, is not anti Semitic and it is absurd to claim otherwise. This sort of wolfcrying does the Jewish cause no good and merely advances the cause of its opponents. If Jews and Muslims, or anyone else, do not approve of the law, they are free to leave, or not come at all, an option which is not forced upon them, and seek a new life in a Country which does not prohibit non medical surgical procedure on children. An alternative is to seek rabbinical guidance which adapts the religion on living with the law of the land without altering fundamental religious beliefs, as opposed to cultural practices.
19. Isn t it a bit risky not to have an age limitation
Peride ,   Izmir   (02.04.19)
