1. ABOUT THE USE OF EXTREME FORCE
Robert ,   Israel   (04.27.18)
This UN high commissioner should have come here and stay at the border to talk to the rioters and explaining them that they should not provoke Israel because they might get shot. The use of extreme force is when Assad assassinates his own Syrians. Extreme force is what Russia did when it invaded Georgia, among other atrocities. Extreme force is when the Turks kill Kurds,
After he can explain why he keeps silent with what is going on in those (and other) regimes, then he can ask about not using extreme force to Israel.
2. UN is lost
Ralph   (04.27.18)
Somehow I don't think asking them to step away from the fence will work well. Maybe they just did not read the leaflets ? Maybe bullhorns will work ? What else can be tried ? The fence is obvious. Maybe the UN can worry a little more about the children, who are being gassed in Syria ? I believe Syria has sat on the UNHRC ? The UN is corrupt.
3. Lesson to be learnt from history
Yakov ,   Afula   (04.27.18)
Fences, ditches, walls, bollards and moats do not keep invaders out, they only delay and hamper but eventually they are overcome and the invaders always breach and enter. This is a lesson to be learnt from history.
Time to find a solution such as Egypt cedes land in Sinai to the Gazans and the oil rich Arab countries in harmony with Israel help to build a prosperous Gazan state with an airport and seaport, industry, agriculture and commerce. The fabulous coastline could become a tourist paradise with plenty of luxury hotels and various tourist facilities.
Certainly a better option than digging tunnels, breaching fences and getting killed at the behest of corrupt leaders.
Martyrdom, perpetual poverty and hardship or happiness and prosperity. The choice is not really difficult and the implementation would be easy if only the Pals had a leader with the correct will and purpose to lead them in the right direction instead of the wrong one.
4. Nobody crosses the fence. Period.
David ,   Hartford USA   (04.27.18)
Israel has a border. Crossing it without permission is a crime. Crossing it with intent to cause harm is a capital offense. Any resident of Gaza psycho enough to test Israel's patience by attacking the fence will be profoundly sorry, if not profoundly dead.

Just for thought, why doesn't Hamas send all these people to attack the border with Egypt? Oh, silly me. Egypt would just mow them down without a second thought.

And still the lemmings come. Arafat, Abbas, and Haniyeh have done an excellent job of brainwashing their people. Oh well, brainwashed idiots can inflict just as much carnage as Hamas soldiers, so shoot to kill when they touch the fence.
5. Minority "Jewish State" will not survive Jewish Greed, Gaza
Steve Benassi ,   Duluth, MN USA   (04.27.18)
... concentration camp, demographic "terror".
6. Hnobody is breaching our borders, particularly not Gazans!
(04.27.18)
7. Israel should shoot to kill. Period. No more bullshit!
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv   (04.27.18)
Israel should shoot to kill regardless who approaches the fence. Israeli/Jewish lives come first, Israel's territorial integrity and national independence and sovereignty come second, victory over the enemy comes third, and respect for human lives on the other side of the conflict, comes fourth.

Hamas uses their own children as cannon fodder, and they are cynically aware that IDF will not fire at kids.

Because unlike the Arab world in general and the the Arabs of Gaza Strip in particular, we Jews/Israelis aren't barbarians. We are a Western liberal democracy. 1.5 million Arabs live and reside inside Israel with full democratic, human and civil rights.

Not a single Jew/Israeli lives inside Gaza Strip and not a single Jew/Israeli would be accepted by the Arabs in Gaza Strip.

Gaza has exactly 0.0 Jews/Israelis.

More than 1.5 million Arabs are Israeli citizens, and live and breathe, work and study in Israel every single day. 1.5 million Arabs plus inside Israel can openly display their Arab Muslim identity on Israel's streets in a Jewish majority society - and nothing happens to them.

So, as far as democracy and respect for human lives are concerned, Israel is lightyears ahead of our barbarian Arab neighbors.

Regarding the Arab children that Hamas uses as cannon fodder, and sends to the Israeli border: Many of these innocent Arab kids are equipped with explosives. Explosives can kill Israeli/Jewish soldiers and civilians, regardless if Arab adults, or Arab kids are wearing the explosives.

Explosives are and remain explosives. Explosives don't care if the Arab in question carrying the explosives is 15 years old or 90 years old.

Israel's policy should be loud and clear:

"If you approach the fence, we'll shoot to kill, regardless if you are adults or children. If you do not want to be shot, stay away from the fence. And if you do manage to cross the border into Israel, we'll shoot you on the spot inside Israel."

As far as the UN is concerned, I'd tell them to go and f*ck themselves!
8. Israel has stolen these people's homeland. That is the crux
Ira Sharansly ,   Tel Aviv   (04.27.18)
9. Remind us the name of the UN "Human Rights" Commissioner ?..
Andre ,   Clichy   (04.27.18)
Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein ? OK then... LOL !!!
10. Suggestion for UN human rights commissioner -
barbara ,   Haifa   (04.27.18)
Go stand on Israeli side of fence waiting for your Gazan friends.
Let's see how friendly they will be. LOL
11. UN asks Israel STOP DEFENDING YOUR BORDERS
Tim ,   Brighton   (04.27.18)
WHY NOT ask Hamas to stop trying to breach them

And there is uncontrovertible EVIDENCE that killers have been planted in with innocent civilians to take advantage of any breaches and hell bent on murder inside Israel?

Yet ANOTHER utterly crass and witless statement from the utterly crass and witless UN Commissioner for Human Rights..how on EARTH does he stay in his job?
12. prince hussein-you think we are stupid
ames   (04.27.18)
deadly force and breach of sovereignty-your gazans approach with grenades, stones, shears and molotovs and in some cases breach the fence. anyone trespassing will be shot.

you want to witness it-please come to the fence and you can watch your innocent brothers throw grenades, molotovs, flaming kites and brandishing shears.since you served in the jordanian forces, you can stop them on the gazan side of the fence.

until then, your words have no effect, zero.

israel has been too lenient. putin would have shot 5000 buy now.

13. Let's stop calling them Palestinians. They're just Arabs.
David ,   Hartford USA   (04.27.18)
Just plain Arabs.
14. From the USA it's easy to see
USA   (04.27.18)
Even from the USA it's easy to see that at the border, the Arabs are advancing on the Israelis. The IDF is holding a line and the consequences are known to all. It's the stupidity of the Arabs to think that they would be allowed to run amok in Israel. When the Arabs and Muslims want peace, they will give peace... instead of always wanting something just to talk about the subject. It's obvious from the USA the Arabs and Muslims only WANT, and whine the victim when their schemes aren't successful. Who cares about the Palestinian question anymore? The answer is known.... they suck, and all the blame toward Israel is just another reason why they suck. They have been given so much from the international community and the piss it away, either stolen by their leaders, or pissed away on ways to attack Israel. The Palestinians are leaches and give nothing to the world, while Israel is the opposite in deed. The Palestinians are standing on a mountain of lies, they demand something they NEVER had or NEVER was. I see this.
15. YNET Report Gets it Wrong. Facts Matter.
Rhonda ,   Suffern   (04.27.18)
YNET gets it wrong. And facts matter. Palestinians were not driven from their home when Arab nations surrounded and attacked the new state of Israel. Palestinians were told to avoid the violence their fellow Muslims would commit against the Jews and after the slaughter Palestinians could return triumphant.

Get it right.
Facts matter.

Jonathan Lyon ,   Berkeley, CA USA   (04.28.18)
Ḥamas leader, Fathi Ḥammad, said on March 23, 2012, that "half of the Palestinians are Egyptian and the other half are Saudis," providing Gideon M. Kressel and the late Reuven Aharoni with a proof text for their brave and original study, Egyptian Émigrés in the Levant of the 19th and 20th Centuries. In it, they establish that many "Palestinians" in fact came from Egypt. Indeed, "the Egyptian population is a very large component that, relatively speaking, only recently arrived in Palestine."
This only confirms the thesis found in the book “From Time Immemorial”.
What’s more, the UN defines “ Palestinian refugees“ – and this is different from how it applies the term refugee in every other instance consistently Dash has an errand having lived in the British mandate of Palestine for two or more years. Just two years! That brings their claim of right of return into question, don’t you think?!!!

23. Israel, like all sovereigns, has the right to self defence
C   (04.28.18)
any attempt to invade israel by any foreign entity falls under article 51
of the united nations charter.

hamas is the de facto ruler of the gaza entity.
the use of grenades, molotov cocktails, firebombs, ied's, is an act of war.
hamas has sole responsibility for the deaths of its members and
supporters who attempt week after week to invade the sovereign
territory of the state of israel.
24. Okay.... UN commisioner say don't use lethal weapons....
The Archives ,   Kuala Lumpur   (04.28.18)
What did the commisioner propose IDF use to disperse violent rioters? Water canons using sea water can cause eye problems. Water canons using valuable fresh water is absurd in dry lands.. target only parts of body that is not mortal, easier said than done! In times of tense moments, unintentional mistakes occur. So what is your problem in trying to solve an imperfect solution when IDF is trying it's best to minimise mortal casualties?
25. Indeed DISPROPORTIONATE 350 million Arabs vs. 6 mil. Jews!
Alfredo ,   Raanana   (04.28.18)
26. deplorable
tiki ,   belgium   (04.28.18)
The only deplorables in these marches are the cynical Hamas leaders and their protectors......the UN commissioner and the EU.
27. amnesty international, betselem and un human rights council
agha   (04.28.18)
any of you trying to breach the gaza fence into israel violating its sovereignty will be shot, full stop period. there is no negotiation on this point. as for embargos, any of you may be arrested at any point if you are in the area. embargo is incitement. this is a crime in israel punishable by jail. so your namees will be noted promoting embargos and warrants will be posted for your arrest by interpol.
