"Yiyhe Bseder" is just one. The other is "Ein mah la'asot" - there's nothing that can be done about it. Both contribute to a come what may ("take it or leave it" attitude that has impacted on all aspects of Israeli life. It makes mediocrity and laziness perfectly acceptable, as is cheating others. And it absolves them of all responsibility. For this reason, they've been unable to bring themselves to admit that in order to get change you need to change your governments from time to time, but no, rotten is fine because "ein mah la'asot" and everything will be OK, and I'm alright, Jack and if something goes badly wrong, give that famous "Jewish shoulder shrug that says "what can I do about it?"

The level of irresponsibility that culminated in the tragedy of these teenage kids was only one of several wake up calls that never wake anybody up enough to get down to brass tacks and create thorough and accountable sytems. So many people in this country aee buried because someone with these attitudes just couldn't be bothered to exercise due diligence and care.
And the worst aspect of all is that for all this, we have a strangely sentimental approach to punishing those responsible: already the lawyers are saying that the people concerned "are suffering enough in their consciences" and thus don't deserve to be punished any further.

Are we surprised? We have a prime minister up to his ears in corruption scandals and the polls are UP in his favour. Why? Because he has suffered enough from the "persecution of the press."

10 young lives are lost, it took the education minister 4 days to appear with some banal comment, but will he lose votes? Nah, because oh well, life goes on and "everything will be alright." Rabin (RIP) was right and it's so sad that even from what happened to him as a result of political nastiness, there doesn't appear to be the will to tackle the problems because of this very issue.

Nahal Tzafit" is not a canyon. It is a dryed river ...the skirts of the river are high rock walls, and while you are in the riverbed it's less possible to use communication equipment to contact authorities asking for help. There are no checkpoints to monitor turism and visitors activity during the dried months between june & august.-The rest of the year, the place must be forbidden to public access, its not a camping area & no army traning or exercises by unexperienced young people should be allowed by the authorities there.

As a leader in IDF Operations during the 1960's, Rabin fought long & hard against the cavalier "yehiye b'seder" attitude... and always demanded excellence instead of mediocrity.

The result was displayed on June 5 - 10, 1967 when the IDF war machine thoroughly chewed up Israel's multiple enemies in only six days in one of the greatest victories in military history.

Rabin practiced what he preached, and this will always be his legacy.

The term every thing will be ok, or it will be ok. Bibi is in a very difficult situation, he cannot say he is geering up to have war with Iran, as a leader he does not want to make statement to make scaremongering , he is a very solid leader, who has israel's self interest and safety in mind. It is unpredictable what the Iranians or Russians and Syrians will do, so all options are on the tables. My opinion is that Bibi wouldn't want to sacrifice even a drop of blood of Israeli, but for the existence of Israel as a nation, sacrifices have to be made. Sad thing is Israel has a lot of enemies. My hope and prayer and faith is in the Almighty G-d of Israel, he will protect Israel, my (Israel's redeemer liveth, he neither sleep or slumber). Blessed be his name blessed be Israel. Amen and. Amen. In him we can everything will be ok.
