First, we had Partner for Peace Number 1 - Arafat, then we got Partner for Peace Number 2 - Abbas. Guarantee that anyone who as grown up through the toxic and backward-looking environment and education system of the PA is not going to be an Israel Lover. The chances are he/she will be worst. Abbas is 'house broken' and has played his hand many times. The new person will be crowned by the Israeli Left and Europe as Partner Number 3 - and again, they will bestow on him gifts at Israel expense. In a choice between two devils - keep the one you already know vs. go through the learning curve with all it costs. We know for sure that anyone elevated will not be anything but the next Devil.

Given the fact that he openly master-minded the PLO's financing of the massacre of the Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics, it completely baffles me why anybody--including successive USA presidents and Israeli PMs--has given Abbas even the time-of-day, let alone recognized him as the president of the Palestinian people, whether they elected him freely or not.
