If you ask the absolute rulers of the Arab monarchies of the Gulf, they would tell you Iran is the primary threat. If you ask the rest of the Arabs (people and elites) they will tell you Israel is far more dangerous. They will single out Israel as the Enemy.

Neighter Israel nor Iran is an enemy. It's the Arab mentality itself that holds this part of the world back in petty tribal infighting. Or, more accurately, it's their inability to think in strategic dimensions for the greater good that prevents them from getting the bigger picture, stop bickering, and start developing, in cooperation with the whole world. Then again, neither are Isrealis nor Iranians any better... all locked up it their own ideological filter bubbles, all showing their teeths in menacing postures, wasting a lot of energy that could be better spent to do useful things (like, say, cooperating). No wonder the Middle East is in such a mess right now. So sad.
