"A crippling Israeli-Egyptian blockade, imposed when Hamas took power, has meanwhile brought the local economy to a standstill" How about the local economy is at a standstill because Hamas leaders took the world's money for themselves?

This is just pure comedy now. It is sad that the population of Gaza are being fierce to leave under such idiocity. The mullahs oppress them and force them to go to war that they know they can’t win. Funny how quiet Erdogan is now that he got his votes and supports in that hell hole country.

3. Militants? Blockade? Enemies? More propaganda ynet????
Blame the Jews for these peaceful invasions and rockets? Yet like the rest of the global antisemitic media pretending these are not blood thirsty savages rejoicing and living to murder Jews. Hamas is the enemy of the Jews not just Israel. Yet sadly as usual you seem to be part of the problem and cause for support of terrorists by the west. Shame on you for spreading this nonsense from fake news Reuters.

WHAT HAS HAMAS ACHEIVED FOR GAZA
More destruction, more deaths, more misery, more poverty and above all more hopelessness
Hamas could transform Gaza almost overnight by ceasing its unilateral declaration of war on Israel that would smash the blockade and open up opportunities for negotiations toward Palestinian Statehood
And there is NO WAY that the PA could progress toward Palestinian statehood WITHOUT Gaza on board
So if Hamas wont do it..Gazans will find others who will
