Assad's army is almost finished, they are replaced by mercenaries from Russia, Hezbollah, Iranians Revolutionary Guards, Mercenaries from Afghanistan, Chechens. Iranian presence in Syria is hundred of thousands, they man all military equipment, missile sites, tanks and general foot soldiers. And there are hundreds of thousands of Russian Soldiers, their special forces, advisers, all these entities are fighting the war for Assad. He is just a puppet of Putin and mullahs of Iran. People who fled Syria and Iran their relative back home reports all above entities presence is massive.
