1. Good question; why?
Brad ,   USA   (06.13.18)
Why should Israel help stabilize (send money to) one of its enemies? Answer; no good reason. If Jordan's mismanagement causes "problems" for Israel, then Israel can shoot them. Problem solved.
2. Wow, after we've so successfully "enabled" Arafat & other
(06.13.18)
Muslim "partners" for peace, now comes this utter idiot, suggesting more of the same?
Lunacy doesn't even begin to describe this Academia-syndrome!
3. True, there is an eco. prob, but Jerusalem is crux of matter
Khalid Amayreh ,   Occupied Jerusalem   (06.13.18)
4. a matter of time before the King looses executive powers
Shela Ramon ,   Tel Aviv   (06.13.18)
5. Article based on maturity, concept and hindsight....
The Archives ,   Kuala Lumpur   (06.13.18)
Excellent and intelligent reporting that should make UN arguements against Israel based on religious sentiments without any trace of matured intelligent facts supporting arguements look childlist and make UN a useless world community.
6. Trying to stave off the inevitable
Cameron   (06.13.18)
The Arab lands are steadily beginning to crack at the seams

Change & Modernization place unbearable stress upon that medieval creed and culture.

Turmoil & unrest without end.
7. Jordan is getting money
Isaac Storm   (06.13.18)
Saudi Arabia and two Gulf States are giving Jordan 2.5 billion. The US is giving 6 billion in aid over 5 years - up from 1 billion annually. In 2017, the Saudis had cut its aid to Jordan because Jordan wouldn't tow the line (Jordan, for example, supported anti-US resolutions in the UN to make Abbas/PA/PLO happy). Maybe now Jordan will stop stabbing the US and Israel in the back.
8. Not enough info
Expert   (06.13.18)
No info is given in this article to explain what the Jordanian economy is based on, and what they produce and sell. Any economy needs innovation. Do they have the education and universities to achieve that? Merely pouring money down a black hole never works.
9. The king is part the problem .
tiki ,   belgium   (06.13.18)
Without him 'Jordan' would be Palestine.
10. Why?
Rami ,   Helsinki   (06.13.18)
Abdul is a fan of Assad. Jordanian support to Syrian rebels is largely assadist myth. Why do you think Assad has not yet attack Daraa. He wants to protect his buddy like their dads protected one another during Black September. He knows that full attack on Southern Syria would create 800 000 refugees and cause problems for his buddy. Barak ruined a good deal in the 90s. Assad and Hashemites can bith keep their states as long as they don't hurt Israel.
11. JUST LIKE 99% OF THE MUSLIM COUNTRIES, JORDAN ALSO HAS
Iranian Jew ,   LALA LAND   (06.13.18)
probelms. The fact is that Musim countries always look for others to solve their probelms. Bangladesh is beginning to thinkl like China and starting to rely on its own exports to elevate the country out of poverty. Muslim countries mostly do not seek to learn, produce and prosper for other countries and with them.
12. Help Jordan by sending many "Palestinians" there
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.13.18)
Israel should help Jordan by sending large numbers of "Palestinians" there. This would help both nations. Israel would be free from many mortal foes. Jordan would benefit from their skills. "Palestinians" would be in their real homeland.
13. Don't prop up enemies.
A Simple Jew ,   Beer Sheva   (06.13.18)
Jordan is a backstabbing enemy. Give them no foreign aid. They cause trouble on Har Habyit and are diplomatic adversaries. The king allows Jew hatred to run rampant. Israel should save its money.
14. Why Israel should mind their own economic issues..
Adler   (06.14.18)
Israel society all the time joint protests against everything: Against the Prime Minister, against corruption gov, protestsvagainst deport of assylum seekers, against conscription of yeshiva students, social protests against high houses prices, against gaza violence, protest against women of the wall, etc etc
against pistachio ice cream, etc etc etc Nothing wrong is going to happen to the Jordan monarchy, its just a protest, Saudi Arabia, Emirates and all those arab monarchies are extremely wealthy, & the Jordan king is also half british
15. gulf arabs created the problem so don't ask Israel to pay
zionist forever   (06.14.18)
The Gulf arabs who are swimming in petrodollars have promised Jordan money but they have not made good on their promises which is why Jordan has this problem right now so the arabs caused this problem so let them fix it.
Israel cannot afford to bail out all its neighbours when they get into economic problem just because their regimes are moderate or they have a peace treaty with us.
The lesson Jordan should learn from this is the one the Gulf states have shown previously with poorer arab states and thats they promise money but don't always deliver so never trust arabs should never trust arabs.
16. In return with Jordans economic problems
lal ram ,   Wolverhampton, UK   (06.16.18)
In return with help solve Jordon's economic problems, Jordon should accept all the so called Palestinians into Jordon, there is plenty of land and space, they should accept all the gazan's, hamas, Abb-ass and west bank settlers, any land occupied by these mad Arabs. Israel should repatriate all the remainder to other Arab nations, where they can blow each other freely, Sunnis against Shiites.
17. Jordan support terrorism against Israel enables them
