1. HaCohen has well thought out suggestions.Same as Min Katz
Alan ,   SA   (06.28.18)
with his brilliant railway network plans. The whole area with Israel (a developed Western Country) is ideally placed for fantastic progress. Also geographically the area is at the crossroads of Asia Europe and Africa-even migrating seasonal birds pass over the area . Prince MBS realises this with his brilliant plan for KSA near Eilat. There are outstanding leaders like Pres Al Sisi and Gulf Princes and Emirs (and also BTW Bibi). Unfortunately every move to advancement is hamstrung by the Hamas,HisShatan and the PA in general .Over the DECADES/CENTURY they have made an excellent business with trillions of $$$ out of their so called misery and nakbars and nasbars etc.Pres Trump is calling time on these stories but the Democrats (Kerry) have told the Pals to hang in there until they resume power!!! Help is on the way so the Pals can resume business as per usual.Their victim-hood is their stock in trade. The EU have just said that the EU will referee any attempt at peacemaking and will not allow any peace treaty -only an EU approved Kosher l'Pesach one .And so the misery carries on .
2. Are you suggesting 3 states Mr. Hacohen?
Isaac Storm   (06.28.18)
If not three states, then what do you propose happens to Judea and Samaria - that Israel absorbs the territory? And what of the Palestinian Arabs in Judea and Samaria - do they become Israeli citizens or move to the new Gaza - Palestinian state?
3. This will go nowhere
Ralph   (06.28.18)
Egypt has no desire to help Israel in any capacity. In addition, Egypt has no interest in taking on the Palestinian problems. This idea will go nowhere.
4. Establish a Sunni Palestinian state in Syria and Lebanon
SYKES PICOT 2   (06.28.18)
The Saudis and Jordanians could liberate the Sunni areas of Lebanon and Syria and establish a Sunni Palestinian state in Sunni areas of Lebanon and Syria The Syrian and Palestinian refugees from Jordan, Gaza and the West Bank could be resettled in these areas with Saudi and Gulf money. The state would include Beirut ,its airport and seaport and would stretch to the Iraqi border. The Alawis could keep the coastal strip and mountains and the Russians could keep their air and sea bases on the Mediterranean
5. This is NOT a NEW Solution
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.28.18)
Neither is it an Israeli or US Plan or idea

Palestinian academics as far back as 1999 determined that the so called PEG Plan (Palestine in an expanded Gaza) was the best way forward for Palestinian statehood.

Furthermore rather than relinquishing historical ties to cities of Ramallah etc THEY WOULD BE ENTIRELY REBUILT in the new Palestinian PEG..New 21st century Palestinian cities of Ramallah, Qalqilya, Tulkarm..rising gleaming and proud into the Mediteranian sky

The PEG Plan would ensure a fully viable, CONTIGUOUS, defensible, unified, sovereign state that no motorway connection between Gaza and West Bank could EVER achieve and facilitate the SOCIAL COHESION that is vital for strong Palestinian nationhood

And lets not forget that Palestinian Gaza IS a such an important spiritual centre of Islam..THE Place the prophet sought the inspiration to found Islam..a precious legacy so often ignored that Palestinians need to cherish

And lets also not forget that in terms of natural resources its the area of Gaza and Northern Sinai that offers coastline and huge potential for tourism, fishing, offshore oil and gas, water desalination, agriculture, airport and shipping hubs and gateways to Egypt and North Africa...the Palestinian West Bank is POOR by comparison

The PEG Plan also envisaged a GRADUAL relocation to the new Palestinians state from the West Bank as individual Palestinians in the West Bank sold their properties at FULL market price to Israelis to reinvest in PEG...quite apart from the HUGE and UNPRECEDENTED mobilisation of international financial resources to resources kick start this new born state

Inshallah

6. New State Solution
lazerbenabba ,   London, England   (06.28.18)
Notwithstanding the excellent analysis and eminently sensible achievable proposals enumerated by Major-General Gershon Hacohen (IDF ret).; however the elephant in the room has nothing to do with what is possible, desirable nor even beneficial to the so called palestinian peiple but the fact that none of this meets the criteria set by Hamas/Iran as to their desire to eradicate the Democratic nation of Israel.
Commonsense and what is good for the people of Gaza etc is irrelevant to the power craze Islamic racists whose sole doctrine revolves around the presence of Jews in their own ancestral home.
7. Been there, done that
Facts and Logic   (06.29.18)
The Two State Solution has already been tried. Jordan for the Arabs, Israel for the Jews. That didn't work and they invented another 'nation' called 'Palestinean'. Another Two State solution was tried with Oslo. Also didn't work. The Arab side split into two nations again, WB and Gaza. Even went to war with each other, just like Arafat and Hussein. They will do this forever. Peace with them will never be achieved by creating more new states for them. What do you expect from people who are proud to murder their own sisters? The true Two States are Israel and Jordan. If the 'Palestinians' want more, they should complain to Jordan, not Israel. Learn from history or repeat it!
8. Muslims will never be satisfied.
Brad ,   USA   (06.29.18)
Violence is all they know. It's all they do, and it's all that gets their attention. The "Palestinians" belong in the land that Jordan stole. That means they belong in Jordan. If they stay in Israel and cause trouble, crush them. They'll stop.
9. Simple Solution Proposal: throw Arab asses out of Israel &
(07.02.18)
see what happens.
Straight forward and we've got nothing to lose.
The desert is huge.
We've managed to turn it into Paradise, let's see what they do with it
(yes, we already know their potential:-))
10. It's an excellent idea
Reuven   (07.05.18)
This could work very well.
11. The real solution is "Palestinian" departure
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.05.18)
The real solution is "Palestinian" departure from our sole tiny Jewish Homeland. It is very achievable and it involves three steps.

1. End all mad Israeli support of our mortal "Palestinian" foes, which enables them to occupy our land and endlessly torment us. America and Australia have already taken steps to cut support for "Palestinians". How ironic that Israel, the main target of "Palestinian" terror, keeps the insane support going.

2. Do an accurate census to find out how many "Palestinians" we are dealing with. The true number is likely less than half what "Palestinians" claim.

3. Create a concrete budget to foster mass "Palestinian" departure, instead of madly investing in keeping "Palestinians" here.
12. This could actually work
Reuven   (07.08.18)
I think this has definite possibilities.
