surveys show Israelis in the majority want the idf to win and want the govt to allow them to win.
without a doubt, certain pms did not have the stomach for war and casualties so cut short idf war maneuvers. peres, olmert and bibi fall into this category.
bibi will not allow the idf to win because he cannot take casualties, the fear of causalities is too much for him. he doesn't know what victory looks like.he has no feeling for going on the attack. and he wants guarantees. that he is considered a fighting soldier has more to do with the weak opposition leaders.
under no conditions will bibi allow the idf to go all out and win.
