As long as our Government keeps playing cats and mice with the Palestinian terrorists, things will continue as they are now. Bravo Moshe Shertzer for voicing the truth! We pulled out 10,000 of our own citizens from Gaza leaving them farms and infrastructure. What did the Arabs do? Burn it all and begin rocketing southern Israel including the city where I live. It takes two to tango but the Hamas has no interest in peace. They want us to hand over the keys to the country and conveniently jump into the Mediterranean Sea. Every cent of aid has padded the pockets of Hamas leaders or gone to purchase weapons and build more terror tunnels instead of bettering the lives of Gazans. Meanwhile the people of Gaza live in abject poverty. WE in Israel send in humanitarian aid and take seriously ill patients into our hospitals for treatment free of charge. We do not use our children as human shields. We do not carpet bomb. Sadly the world media is biased against Israel and not objective where Israel is concerned. THIS is the truth.

We have leaders who are cowards and protecting their own ass so that they can go to Europe once done in their positions.

I remember 20 years ago sitting with friends with the clear understanding Iran will be at our border unless we prevent it.

The only way this will change is if the people go to the streets to pressure our elected leaders to do their job which is for their citizens not terrorists and enemies.

After 3 months of fires at least we already have the following things clear.

1. The IDF aren't willing to wage a war in Gaza to prevent fires.
2. They don't even dare to launch aerial reprisals for fear of Hamas rockets.
3. IDF spokespersons have already met with the representatives of the communities adjacent to the Gaza Strip to convince them that the damage caused by the fires is not comparable to that of a war.
4. In order not to spend much money, firefighting aircraft haven't been deployed to the area to put out the fires as soon as possible.

So things, I only see a valid reprisal: assess the damage caused to each owner and increase the resulting amount by 4, in concept of damages of all kinds, which will be paid out of the taxes that are monthly transferred by Israel to the PA.

In this way the Palestinians will not even be harmed, because the one who will really pay the bill will be the European Union, and in the manner that can most screw them, because their sparse money will benefit the Israelis.

We must always remember that our real enemies aren't the Palestinians, but the EU. They created them, and they are the ones who support and finance them. In the PLO joint venture of Islam and Europe, Muslims put the flesh and Europe everything else.
