So much history has been revised mostly for political reasons - the creation of Jordan by the British, the collaboration of the Pope with Hitler, the massacre of 1.5 million Armenians by the Turks, the collaboration of the Palestinian/Arab leaders with Hitler, the refusal of the RAF to bomb Auschwitz (Hungarian Jews would have been saved if they had done so). The list goes on and on.
So for political reasons they have minimized the collaboration and murder of Jews by the Poles - but its all there written in many history books so even politicians can't erase it. Most minority groups in Europe collaborated with the Nazis and killed the Jews (especially the 'wonderful' Dutch). - this is why there is a State of Israel.
Must we be enemies of them all today?

Our history with that nation is at best convoluted& twisted and painful.
I would think, that for the sake of future of both countries a kind of official "don't ask, don't tell" agreement should be reached....
Kind of "peace" that we enjoy with Egypt / Jordan (until next war, of course)
