Everyone already knew Israel is the Jewish state even if some don't want to accept it. This law only creates second class citizens. The Druze are right to protest.

Hard to believe they rushed through the law without thinking of the ramifications. In addition to the problems is raises for non-Jewish locals living in Israel the foreign press are having a field-day with this. Hard to defend against accusations of racism directed toward the current Israeli government.
Can someone explain the necessity of this law at this juncture. Israel seemed to be doing OK for 70 years without it..
