The idea of democracy is to represent the people in the Knesset.

It would be very problematic to accuse Israeli elite in racism but the latter is racist: "Those two laws exclude Christian and Muslim Arabs (including Bedouin), Druze and Circassians..." What about atheists, Russians, Buddhists, Armenians and other minorities? (BTW, there are more Russians in Israel than Druze and they also serve in IDF) By excluding these people from the groups that might be hurt by the law the authors of the letter showed their bias toward certain minorities.

The nationality Law must be amended ,and replaced with a law which states that jews must be second class citizens and discriminated against as much as possible.

Spain proudly describes itself as a christian country, Italy and Poland describe themselves as proud catholic countries,Ireland proudly calls itself Christian, Saudi Arabia ,Egypt ,Morocco ,Turkey and others proudly call themselve islamic, only jews feel the need to be embarrassed to call tiny Israel JEWISH .

I came to live in Israel the Jewish state 57 years ago. It was a Jewish state then and it's a Jewish state now and it will remain a Jewish state as long as there is a Jewish majority.
This law has nothing to do with the Jewish state, it's all about politics and testosterone. The right-wing politicians behaving like a bunch of male turkeys strutting around and and showing their masculinity.
