I’m not surprised. People allow themselves to allow f cal waster to enter
Water. This past June in Tel Aviv at the Hilton/dog beach people just let their
Dogs defecate on the shore with the waves just carrying it back to
The sea. This is gross. So if it happens there I’m sure it happens elsewhere .
Primitive .

Once it’s frozen, leptospires bacteria is dead. Leptospires bacteria is finish when is freezing. The ministry of health instead of pumping clean water into rivers and streams, should start to vaccine animals from farms located in the north that are close to streams and rivers, or in proximity to wildlife. Vaccines for animals exist for certain type of Leptospira which may decrease the risk of spread to humans. Kids should be vaccine against meningitis.
Israel Health Ministry think the Jordan River, Banias stream and Dan River could be also contaminated. -The Hasbani is the major tributary of the Jordan River, and derives most of its discharge from two springs in Lebanon; the Wazzani and the Haqzbieh, so if there were several cases of leptospirosis in people kayaking the north of the Sea of Galilee & Jordan River, maybe the bacteria came to Israel from Jordanian area or Lebanon. Is not enough to banned bathing the Zavitan, Zaki, Yehudia and Meshushim streams or the Sea of Galilee, Jordan River, & Maayanot Eden Springs in Salukiya, and
It will not help rain fall, floodings could cause an epidemic crisis.
