7. leadership and lack of it
what is clear beyond any doubt is that Hezbollah and Hamas have more able leaders that Israel does.
nasrollah easily is superior to bibi in stamina, maintaining cool most of the time, able to take casualties, psychological warfare and courage. and sinwar is making Lieberman look a bumbling fool, taking him for a ride.
Israel has enough trouble on its plate. it has a powerful idf, far more powerful that Hezbollah and Hamas combined. but if doesn't use it, it loses it.
so Israel is in danger unless it gets a leader prepared to use the idf in a Stalingrad type vicious war which would be the way to defeat the enemy; not an economic squeeze as naive pardo suggests.
netanyahu, olmert and livni, peres even ehud barak were not prepared to use all of the idf power with an all out plan for various reasons. netanyahu is scared period and collapses under pressure, olmert could not take blood in my opinion, barak didn't feel it would do any good, peres was a pacifist, and livni likes erekat.
bennett, feiglin, barkat would use all of the idf. time to throw bibi out of the pm office. The leader has to look at the battlefield with a dry eye. the current leadership is not able to do it..
