1. Wrong.
Brad ,   USA   (08.29.18)
The cuts should be made fast in order to make it hurt. The cuts should also be increased to the level that they disappear. Remember, in Islam there are no civilians, so we shouldn't be treating Muslim entities like they have civilians in them. Let the Muslims do the suffering for a change.
2. Bring Back Ehud Olmert's Plan of 2008...
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (08.29.18)
Bring Back Ehud Olmert's Plan of 2008...

If submitted again I would most certainly accept Ehud Olmert's peace plan of 2008 to no less than 90% in principle...According to Olmert's plan almost all the West Bank ( with modified borders ) , a big chunk of East Jerusalem , and a big chunk of the Old City of Jerusalem would be handed over to the Palestinians ? What better offer could the Palestinians get ???
As for the UNRWA refugees , personally I would propose resettling them in stages over several years in the West Bank...And then there would be eternal peace between Israel and all the Arabs...
3. or they could ....
toni ,   ohio   (08.29.18)
Or they could return Gaza to Israel and move off of the land and go to Egypt and take the offer to build their state THERE.
4. Let them suck the vinegar of the their soiled wine
Ben ,   Haif   (08.29.18)
I do not know in what kind of illusion the writer of this article lives.
The Palestinians are sucking up the money of the US and Europe.
The surrounding Arab countries do not care, they are giving minor funding compared to the US and Europe, but are very good in giving with their poisonous rhetoric in stet of dollars. And now we should be afraid of the anger of the Palestinians, I think you misplaced the Palestinians, they should be worrying about what is going to happen with them, they live in artificial reality supported by all kind humanitarian and social ideas from outside, history teaches us that the world is not functioning like this, there is only one winner and one looser, only the Palestinians do not get this, because of idiotic support & funding they still receive.
5. I see lemon, but I do not see potential for lemonade.
leo ,   usa   (08.29.18)
6. "Cold turkey" is the only way to quit! Besides: Arabs won't
(08.29.18)
change their spots anyhow.
7. But Ron: there are no "Palestinians"! Plenty of Arabs though
(08.29.18)
8. Palestinian aid
Nigel ,   London   (08.29.18)
There ha been a plethora of funding for the Palestinians. Until the abuse of aid money is controlled, until the Palestinians stop using aid money as a way of topping up their stipends to terrorists, aid money should stop in all forms. Only when the PA commit to stop rewarding murder should any new initiatives be considered.
9. BS in the nth degree
GABE1 ,   Thornhill, Canada   (08.29.18)
The US already months ago cut their contribution and nothing is happening with regards to terror or slay-for-pay. Terror or Intifadas by the Palis is inbred and they do not need a reason. If you are going to make a statement than do it all at once . Shock and Awe. Not any different than in fighting Hamas. Wipe the nests of iniquity out. If they want to riot and murder than Shock and Awe . Increments are simply unworkable.
10. Old-fashined heresies
i   (08.29.18)
It really looks like this learned Ben-Ishay sticks to outdated Marxist theories that all political and social developments are driven solely by economic situation. Just for his information: almost all "revolutionary" and terrorist leaders have a well-off economic background, and the homeless on the contrary do not rebel... Even the Arab Spring is not explained by the economy: did desolated Jordan have better economy than oil-rich Lybia?
11. Dozens if not 100s of attacks against Jews in Judea-u lie
(08.29.18)
12. wrong. based on illusion that pals can be reasoned.
(08.29.18)
they have shown over the years that they cannot be reasoned, hence cutting aid abruptly and starving them is the right xourse of action. the sooner the better.
13. Austerity is necessary
Yael Schlichting ,   Berlin   (08.29.18)
There needs to be real pressure upon the so called "Palestinians" to make them change. A very gradual weaning off from the money, they use to pay terrorists will not force them to change something.
It's not the average stateless Arabs who would have to suffer most, but it will be everybody who tied him-/herself to the organization of career-terrorists who run the show in Gaza and Area A.

15. All US Aid
Mark Sherry ,   USA   (08.29.18)
All US aid in the region, to Egypt, Palestinians, Israelis and Jordanians should halt immediately. The US does not have the money and cannot afford to give aid any more. We are going $1.5 Trillion in debt annually, in part because of unnecessary aid. The cut off should take place October 1, this year. No exceptions. The cut off should include UNRWA and all other organizations the US contributes to.

The US simply cannot afford the region anymore.
16. Great as a saying BUT
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (08.29.18)
WHO are they referring to?

Because as things stand there are AT LEAST two Palestinian communities in Gaza and West Bank separated for so long by distinct leaderships, ideologies, economic prosperity and even cultural identity

So when the UN, EU talk about a negotiated settlement with Palestinians - which ones? Do we exclude one or the other, make two separate negotiations or do we demand that they get their act together and begin to talk with one voice?

Make no mistake

There can be no meaningful lasting resolution of the conflict leading to a SINGLE unified contiguous sovereign Palestinian State alongside Israel within mutually secure borders unless and until ALL Palestinians are united and unified to achieve that end
17. End all U.S. and Israeli support for "Palestinians" NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.29.18)
Forget gradual cuts. "Palestinians" don't deserve a shekel (or dollar) of support from the U.S., Israel or anyone else. End all U.S. and Israeli support for "Palestinians" NOW! With one exception. Help them leave our land forever.
18. Your train has left the station.
leo ,   usa   (08.29.18)
19. Lemonade out of lemons.
Brad ,   USA   (09.01.18)
The fake Palestinians (Jordanians) aren't capable of making anything but lies and violence.
20. You need suger to make lemonade
GA AG ,   Jerusalem   (09.04.18)
actually the solution is simple. Palestinian issue is more to do with poverty. replace UNRAW with social programs. Just like in any European country or USA. The aid in the west bank and gaze goes to Israel and Israel distribute depending on poverty level of the family not refugee status.

21. Other than terror what CAN the Pals do?
BBB   (09.04.18)
Oh, I know breed kids who are used for front line protest in hopes they will be injured or killed so the parents can claim a Jihadi's retirement fund.
Send the bas*ards back to Jordan, Arabia etc.
