for good?
3. Technically might work as loose confederate
John ,   Canada   (09.04.18)
Abbas said Israel should be in it. If this is a loose confederate than it may work out well for Israel. Think of NAFTA. Let’s set aside the regular trade disputes. Fundamentally it brought Canada and USA closer without giving up sovergntiy or culture. Remember the Jordanians are also nervous about Palestinian claims ie Black September. As long as the rules are like NAFTA maintain sovertny and citizenship. Also Israel can access trade externally via this route which opens up more possibilities. Big question is what’s in it for Jordan
4. Jordan+Pals said no. Why milking a dead horse?
Sam ,   Montreal   (09.04.18)
What we need to hear is something from Palestinians that includes a Jewish majority Israel. Otherwise, it's all useless speculation.
5. Hamas taking over?
Avi L.   (09.04.18)
what if Hamas takes over everything?

Anybody asked the king?

His father already didn't want to know anymore about them since he revoked they passports in the '80s, and before in 1970

Tell erdo to take them, or Qatar
6. Why yes?
Alexander Scheiner ,   ZY, Israel   (09.04.18)
As long as the chartae of the terror organisations PA/PLO and Hamas explicitely demand the destruction of Israel and Jews, it does not make sense to negotiate with the corrupt PA.

It is best to wait untill Dr. Mahmud Abbas dies.

8. Judea and Samaria belong to Israel. End of story!
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.04.18)
It doesn't matter in the least whether we are dealing with Jordanians or "Palestinians". Judea and Samaria belong to Israel. Nothing to negotiate. End of story!

an independent Palestine state in any form is a threat to Israel. would not trust Jordan either.
10. abbas doesn't want a confederation with israel
zionist forever   (09.05.18)
Abbas has no desire for a confederation with Israel or Jordan. He probably rightly worries that what will be a confederation on paper will in reality be Jordanian rule and he knows Israel has no desire to join any confederation so he says if Israel joins I am in but if Israel is out so am I.
The Jordanians also do not want a confederation because the majority of the population are descendants from refugees of 1948 and Abdullah worries a confederation may lead to the Pals take over of Jordan and the end of his rule.

At a practical level if we were looking for a solution to the conflict that was not based on what the Pals or Jordanians wanted the idea solution would have been a Pals / Jordan FEDERATION.
Let the Pals run their daily lives with the power being in the hands of the Jordanian government rather than the PA.
11. Of course, why not?
Brad ,   USA   (09.06.18)
Palestinians and Jordanians are the same thing.

the onli solution that will wok long range is annexing the whole judea samaia giving green cards to all palestinian settlers and giving them back their jodanian citizenship and voting rights in Jordan
