1. The internal/civil/domestic and world-war in Syria.
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn Holland   (09.19.18)
There only are losers in this war/conflict. In this case victory is/will be an illusion for all. This is a prove that the Israƫli military/army is one of the most human and best.
2. Russia's so called measured response
Ardeth Bey ,   Detroit   (09.18.18)
Yes indeed! Russia will do what! Seriously, what can they do? If they escalate this thing, it will for sure lead to a further escalation in which Russia will be totally humiliated. Sorry but my sides are hurting from laughing so hard. Many pardons! :-D
3. IDF sorry for loss of Russian life in Syria attac
lazerbenabba ,   London, England   (09.18.18)
Israel has very specific defence interests to stop/prevent the encroachment and expansion of Iranian/Hezbollah actions in Syria which would eventually, if not arrested, be detrimental to Israel and its citizens; equally Russia is serving its own ends by backing the dictatorship of Assad and as a consequence perhaps they should be more circumspect and careful when flying into a combat zone that was clearly informed of prior to the Israeli action against its own very specific enemies and interests.
Too often Russia takes the view as most bullies do that others should take care ignoring their own vulnerabilities.
4. Syrian and Iran responsible
Franklin Paredes ,   Quito   (09.18.18)
That is hypocrisy as it's max,
1. After attacking the USS Liberty in June 1967
2. After supplying weapons to rebels groups in Syria.
3. After causing the downing of the Russian plane
Israel should come to grips, recognize his errors, and even say I'm sorry.
Where is your Torah.
Remember Ezekiel 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
5. Cant muster any sympathy for Russia.
BBB   (09.18.18)
You placed your own people in harms way.
Don't blame others for your mistakes.
6. News flash!
BBB   (09.19.18)
If Russia doesn't want casualties go home.
7. Tragic event, Israel is as responsible, as all others
Mr.reason ,   Berlin   (09.18.18)
Putin has stateted clear, that the incident is a result of several factors coming together.
Israel has to guard it's security, as Russia that of it's pilots, as Syria to defefend it's souveregnity, as Iran to fan off the attempts to overthrough it's government - it has already an experience with UK and USA overthrowing its elected ministerpresident in 1953, where Turkey and Syria, and Iraq do not want to loose territory to Kurds, where as the US wants to keep its economical interests of Petrodollar alive. etc. ..

Therefore, who is to blame? If Israel would have warned Russia earlier then less then a minute, the plane could have had landed.
On the other hand, Israeli planes could have been under attack more likely.
Who is to blame?
In any case, the result will be, that Russia will set a minimal warning time form now on, and any thing else will be subject to S400.

8. Soooo...
Lucifer69   (09.18.18)
Sooooo a Russian plane got shot down by a Russian missile, fired by a Russian Ally, trained by the Russians and the Russians have a problem with who?
9. Accident in Latakia.
steve ,   beer sheva   (09.18.18)
This accident could have been avoided if the Russians did not allow the Iranians to hide behind their petticoats with bases in Latakia
Let this area be free from all Iranian/Syrian bases .Israel is at war with these countries. This area should be a completely Russian zone.
10. Blah blah blah
Ruben ,   Turku   (09.18.18)
Israelis will never live as dhimmis and bow to Khamenei no matter what Putin says.
11. The iIL-20 was a sophisticated spy plane

12. moishe rabeynu
moishe   (09.18.18)
according to BBC it was Syria shlemiels that shot down Russian plane. great allies to have when you help them stay alive. did god intervene? maybe.
13. syrians will shoot down another russian plane
beryl   (09.19.18)
Russia should understand that Syrians will likely shoot down another of its planes before too long. did assad express sorrow for its trigger happy antiaircraft crew? Did Syria offer compensation to Russia for its dastardly actions? Likely not.

Israel which takes great care, expressed sorrow at this loss of life, and offered to send its air force people with data to Russia for review.

Israel has to protect and take out dangerous rockets that the Tehran illegal usurpers continue to send to nasrollah and assad. it will not be deterred from protecting its own people.
14. What's next, Israel FEELING really sorry for Putin's thugs?!
