1. INDEED, AND DID YOU NOTICE???
FO ,   Belgium   (09.29.18)
Have you noticed what PM Netanyahu said at about the 35th minute of his speech? Well I quote: "The Nation State of Israel is the only place where the Jewish people proudly exercises our collective right of self-determination. That right was recognized nearly a century ago by the LEAGUE OF NATIONS" Unquote. It is the first time that Bibi Netanyahu, the son of a historian, as he mentioned in his speech, the son of Benzion Netanyahu, the man who with some other people introduced in the Charter of the new born UNITED NATIONS in 1945, Article 80 to preserve and reaffirm all the decisions of the League of Nations, including of course the MANDATE FOR PALESTINE. The Mandate for Palestine voted unanimously by ALL the 51 members of the League, in 1922, gave the Jewish people the IRREVOCABLE RIGHT to settle anywhere on the territory between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River (at least, taking into consideration Article 25 of the Mandate), including the Golan Heights and of course the WHOLE city of Jerusalem, to create their independent Jewish state in formation. A right that became International Law, valid till this very day, thanks to ARTICLE 80 of the UN Charter and the rule of Res Judicata. It is the FIRST TIME that an Israeli PM mentions the League of Nations, that had to be kept secret, in order not to antagonize the Left who till the knowledge of Hitler's Final Solution, was fiercely opposed to an independent Jewish state. The Left parties changed their mind at the Biltmore Conference in New York, in 1942, while the Hashomer Hatsair, despite the Final Solution, opposed and rejected the demand for an immediate creation of a Jewish Commonwealth (state).
2. Actually, Ron, it was embarrassing
Disillusioned   (09.29.18)
The whole world is already laughing at the "bring out the boards" style. Crumbs, has he nothing new to add to his tired and tiresome repertoire?

Nobody in the world (except for the dedicated Bibi Adoration Club) takes this old dog seriously anymore. It has done - and will continue to do - nothing at all to change our country's already badly tarnished reputation after years and years of being too arrogant to bother with proper foreign relations. It's going to take a whole lot more than Mr Babbler and Iran Iran Iran to regain our credibility.

Iran, of course, was practically rolling on the floor in mirth. As, no doubt, were several others barely suppressing their boredom.

Yoreach   (09.29.18)
And to Mr. Barak Hussein Obama, may you go to Hell.
8. Ron - are you now also working as Bibi's PR front man?
Rafi ,   US   (09.29.18)
Because of his repeated use of props & gimmicks in years past, Bibi's "important" speech was now largely ignored by the American media

... not unlike the little boy who cried wolf.

Put succinctly, Netanyahu's credibility is shot - because of a long record of hyperbole, exaggeration, and esp'ly demagoguery... few media outlets take him seriously, much less believe what he's crowing about.

Just in the way of contrast and for the record - when former Foreign Minister Abba Eban or PM Golda Meir spoke @ the UN... world delegates and aides crowded the hall (except Arab delegations of course) and listened in rapture! FACT!
9. yes, Bibi is a great communicator and did it again!
(09.29.18)
10. BIBI IS THE BEST
TEL EM STRAIGHT ,   SAFED HONESTY   (09.29.18)
No other Leader in the world can hold a candle to him. Prime Minister Netanyahu is a wonderful leader, wise, brave and very experienced and Israel is truly blessed to have him as leader. And I have the feeling that arab leaders fear ,respect and admire him .
11. AWAKENING UNBELIEVERS
Robert ,   Israel   (09.29.18)
By telling the TRUTH, Netanyahu does not offend nor needs to fear from the despotic Iranian theocratic rulers. What he does is to awaken all those unbelievers about Iran and Hezbollah's real intentions.
12. Rhetoric won't change reality
Avi L.   (09.29.18)
Rhetoric won't change reality

European politicians don't shuffle uneasily just for Bibi's words, they should do it for more serious reasons. They are as shameless as Bibi himself.

Donald won't be there for long and whoever will take his place won't be so "specially friendly".

Khomeynists don't give a damn thing about civilians and know that hitting their installations will bring a war that Bibi doesn't want for mere "vote counting" and power grabbing reason.

Finally trying to move the IAEA is as futile as opening the seven dwarf eyes from UNIFIL who have yet to see anything for looking the other way.

UN is not a Likud electoral meeting.
13. Are you jokinng?
Jarda   (09.29.18)
Did not you wrote the speech was misleading one day ago?
14. bibis un speech
tomer ,   jerusalem   (09.29.18)
yes i agree ,talking he can in english. thats a fact.he gave the most exiting
talks to the international audience ,supported by card, pics and jokes. A great
performer. The question i ask myself...."what did he achieve?" besides
being praised as great speaker. The socalled new "discovery " was quickly
downgraded by US intelligence to merely known archive ( no 15kg or 50kg radioactive material). So what did he gain?
15. Hitler's speeches were captivating as well
Khalid Amayreh ,   Occupied Jerusalem   (09.29.18)
16. Bibi was and is brilliant mind
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto -Kiriat Gat   (09.29.18)
Question remain: Post Haim Witzmann and Aba Evanas the foudators of Israel
recognization by intrnational Forum , knowing as brillian minds whic met obstruction by narrow minde politicain in their era, again Bibi doesn't have a team to help and backing up him , and just are trying character assasination, and difficult to break this Levantin Mentality common to Arab people.
Isareli are frustuated and athatic to plitical and Judiciar System which outrage working agains Israel interes and aspiration, as main factor of Security save Am Israel from disaster!!!! Some food for thoughts as big change in way which Israel is doing its affair need big change!!!!
17. MY CONGRATULAIONS TO YNETNEWS !!!
FO ,   Belgium   (09.29.18)
The Left oriented YNETNEWS applauded Khaid Amayreh #15 for writing "Hitler's speeches were captivating as well,
18. Bibi should stick to speeches. Let Bennett or Shaked govern
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.29.18)
There is no question Bibi is a brilliant man and a great speaker. There probably isn't anyone on the world stage today who can match him. He also provides Israel with sound management of our economy. The problem is that Bibi folds every time anyone, from outside of Israel, criticizes him. Israel needs a P.M. with more guts. In an idea situation, Bibi would stick to speeches. Bennett or Shaked would govern.

19. fake Benassi, having hard day? ur retorts R getting flimsier
Rafi ,   US   (09.30.18)
I realize it's challenging when you have so many other commentors that you must denigrate with childish put-downs... So much work, so little time...

You either need longer naps or more frequent diaper changes
20. Israel has the best intelligence services
C   (09.30.18)
the knowledge displayed by netanyahu in his speech is based on the
absolute brilliance and achievement of israel's intelligence agencies.
israel's enemies, as well as the europeans, should know that israel
is everywhere and sees everything.
21. Where Was the Standing Applause?
yossi ,   gush etzion   (09.30.18)
There are two was of measuring the success of a speech. The first is an analysis by a respectable pundit, as you have done. The second is the counting of the interruptions to the speech by the applause of the listeners. Which is more effective in the short and long runs? Strikes by the IAF into the Gaza and the resulting plumes of smoke? The young protesters demonstrating their frustration and fury at unseen targets? Or a brilliant performance by a master huckster.
22. WHERE WERE THE APPLAUSE AND OVATIONS

24. Don't Make Us Laugh
World Citizen ,   the world   (10.07.18)
Everytime the man opens his mouth on the world stage he makes a fool of himself. Only idiots in Israel believe Bibi-the-Bozo.
