but clearly that is not an important issue for them.
actually, the reverse of what Sisi says is true:
the yom kippur war lead to Egypt accepting peace with Israel, rather than the other way around (Israel was already willing to have peace all the time anyway).
during the war Egypt saw that even with a surprise attack and help from Russia they still weren't able to defeat Israel (and in fact were militarily toast at the end of the war). the only way to gain was to sue for peace and get land that way
