the large majority of those who go to Israel and vote for supporters of Israel are orthodox
And orthodox will become the majority of American Jews

Americans Jews need to reclaim their Jewish identity, in their own society, before they start claiming a "place" in Israeli society. The problem is that for all too many, any participation in Jewish community life is in decline. Of course this is true of secular Jews in Israel as well, but it is all the more problematic in the Diaspora, where the absence of any religious affiliation, can leave people without any attachment to their identity.

American jews need to understand that Israel is ,geographically, tiny and is also very vulnerable and israelis live normal lives ,nevertheless are under constant POTENTIAL threat ( I stress " potential " ) .Young israelis, and also PM Netanyahu have inherited the mistakes and decisions of their predecessors ,past generations. Young israelis are obligated to serve in the military ,often in dangerous situations ,and americans who are not israeli citizens and do not reside in Israel should not imagine they have the right to make life or death strategic decisions for Israel.
Another factor, Israel is very very small and can not afford to keep ceding territory to its neighbours.
Americans need to also understand that life in Israel is far from perfect and life in Israel is challenging ,israelis are middle-eastern and have a different behaviour and mentality to westerners and frankly, the israel culture sucks in many ways !
