1. Pittsburgh
BZ ,   Paramus , NJ   (10.30.18)
- I would have expected the Left to be more respectful
- Dan Shapiro's OP-Ed is completely out of place
- Pres Trump has shown himself over many years - even before becoming
President to be a true friend of ours
- to attack him now - shows how deranged the Left is
- now is the time to allow the President to come even closer to us
- now is NOT the time to repel his gestures to the Jewish Community

2. Is something wrong with this author?
Oleg ,   Milwaukee   (10.30.18)
What is the purpose of this article? "He needs to make racists and anti-Semites feel like their views are unacceptable. He does the opposite." Where did author get it? Probably watching CNN and reading Washington Post or any other left propaganda machines who constantly distort Trump's words and actions.
3. More rubbish from Shapiro Obama lackey

You are not of your mind, just say I hate Trump.
5. The Real Haters
Ed ,   USA   (10.30.18)
No group hates more than those who hate Trump, and they express this hatred everywhere. No group has done more to legitimate anti-Semitism than those (sadly including many Jews) who endorse BDS.
6. Trump thinks like a Israeli right-wing nut.

8. Farrakhan is not a leftist
Michael ,   Rochester, NY   (10.31.18)
Farrakhan's views should not be considered left. In addition to anti-semitism, he espouses homophobic views. He is part of the religious right - as far as one can get from the left.
9. beautiful, well-written essay!

10. Shapiro is well known for his TDS, 'nuff said.

11. The author is pro-Obama, pro-Iran and anti-Israel
Lan ,   Holon   (10.31.18)
The author has no right to speak about these issues, as his viewpoint are known to be anti-Israel, and he works as a supporter of the nowadays antisemitic, anti-Israel, and pro-Iran US Democrat Party.
12. "good people on both sides"
Howard Roth ,   Penbrook   (11.01.18)
Trump's statement about there being "good people on both sides" is always used nowadays to suggest he was talking about the Nazis and saying some of them are good people. But the Charleston rally was a pro-Confederate monument rally, which was protested by anti-Confederate monument people. The set of "pro" monument folk is much larger than the set of "Nazis" who joined in the rally to promote their own views. Trump was ALMOST CERTAINLY (who can be sure?) calling some of the Southerners who are proud of Confederate heritage "good people." To say Trump was only talking about Nazis is to rewrite history to promote an agenda, something the Nazis were inclined to do.
13. We love Donald Trump
Bar Star ,   Jerusalem   (11.01.18)
In Israel we love president Trump far more than we love liberal Jews like Bernie Sanders who are indifferent or hostile to Israel. He condemned the shooting, he came with Jared Kushner and Ivanka to express condolences. He did great things for Israel while Reform and Conservative movements supported JStreet and opposed him. I am disgusted with the Jews who demonstrated against the president in Pittsburg.

15. Ad Hominem attack on Trump
MadDad ,   Johannesburg   (11.03.18)
Why is Daniel Shipiro not able to attack Trump for his failed policies instead of attacking him for things he said or didn’t say?
The reason is that there is nothing of substance that he can attack Trump for cause all Trumps policies are sound unlike his predecessor who’s Iranian deal is the worst in the history of the USA
What happened to the Trump meddling witch-hunt that has produced nothing?
16. The ambassador to the most anti Semitic president in the
MadDad ,   Johannesburg   (11.04.18)
history of the USA - which you openly supported- and as you are unapologetic about this - you are in no position to offer criticism of Trump - the most supportive president of Israel in US history
What are you trying to do - sell us lemons?
17. How can any SANE Jew believe Obama is our friend?
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.05.18)
There is no question that Iran is the most dangerous foe Israel has faced since the Nazis. Daniel Shapiro's boss, Obama, illegally gave Iran $150 billion of American tax dollars and a treaty calculated to make Iran a nuclear power. Trump is reversing both these genocidal abominations. How can any SANE Jew believe Obama is our friend and Trump is our foe?
