1. IL was very popular with previous Brazilian administration?
Alan ,   SA   (11.01.18)
EVEN IN USA Democrats now rely on ethnic+Immigrant+Muslim support-so will they love Israel forever? Also with support from Feminists ,LGBT Humanists Animal lovers Environmentalists etc I dont believe it! Also the Democrats smell that US Jews (OF COURSE WITH EXCEPTIONS) are not toooo worried about Israel's future.Look how there were only Jews over 60 in Shul in Sq Hill.It was mostly old people . The other "modern" US Jews were enjoying Cheeseburgers and Prawns. and bacon and eggs elsewhere. .Again thank heavens for the Evangelicals.Look at the Democrats going into spasms over anything and everything..The President took valuable time from his punishing Election Campaign schedule to go to Sq Hill-did they expect him to come on 5th Nov????(Thank u Mr President for yr visit). The Democrats will give Israel BIG BIG BIG problems in the future whatever happens because of their unique burgeoning support base of Third Word Immigrant etc support.and big "dont care"Jews support for Democrat Party
This article is flawed I'm expecting a lot of RED thumbs down .
2. BTW does the EU love Israel.Ill take my chances with Al Sisi
Alan ,   SA   (11.01.18)
3. words.of wisdom.
(11.01.18)
befriend countries without predicating that friendship on specific parties/leaders. because parties and leaders are replaced. friendship should be built to last.
4. Don't be short sighted
DSM ,   USA   (11.01.18)
Certain countries work under a dictatorship. Counties that come to mind are Iran, Iraq and Libya. At least with dictators like the Shah of Iran, Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi those counties were stable, without them they are in constant turmoil and anti Israel and America. Carter, Bush and Hillary were responsible for this happening because they were incapable of looking ahead.

Promoting the liberal values of enlightenment is not always the best course.
5. Eyal Nadav thinks too much. Israel should do what is good
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (11.01.18)
for Israel.

7. To the writer of this opinion.
Phoenix   (10.31.18)
You are a leftist and an idiot! Keep your leftist opinions to your self!
8. Second hand information
Eliane Israel ,   Brrasil   (11.01.18)
Eyal Nadav, you're talking about what you do not know. Brazil is not Phillipines. Here we have institutions that works and a very active oposition. It's a shame what you are saying about Brazil. You' re getting second hand information about Brazil. Shame on you!
9. Israel needs to WAKE UP! This is not neo-Nazism...
JVC ,   LA, USA   (11.01.18)
The cultural-Left Israelis and their Jewish cousins in the Diaspora are MISSING-THE-BOAT in a big, big way. The ongoing equating of rightest, populist movements in Europe, Asia, the US and now Brazil, with Nazism or fascism is as stuck in the 1930's as is their ideal of the Left as some sort of modern incarnation of the original Avodah Party or FDR in the United States. The Left we are dealing with today is a nihilistic, post-modern, re-incarnation of some sort of 1960's Maoist insurgency against the most basic concepts of human freedom, notably the right to free speech, private enterprise and private property. This bizarre amalgam of the simultaneously pro-Islamic, pro-feminist, por-LGBT, pro-"Palestinian", anti-free enterprise, international assemblage of post-60's radicalism, that is increasingly turning violent in the United States, is the reason the new-Right or whatever we want to call it, exists. The Left destroys everything it touches... culture, family, gender roles, the War on Terror, competitive markets, etc. and good people everywhere are SICK OF IT. Israel and the Jews need to stop apologizing for supporting individuals and movements that are unabashedly pro-Israel and start supporting them, from Mr. Bolsonaro right up to President Trump. Good grief! Wake up Leftist Jews!
10. In short: until certain countries elect the "right" kind of
(11.01.18)
leaders (meaning: Leftists) and that includes USA, the author thinks we should hold a "meaningful pause" in our relations with those countries?
Oh, but it's Channel 10 apparatchik writing this, so all is as it should be :-)
11. Brazilians in general are hostile to Arabs and Muslims
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (11.01.18)
In Brazil Muslims worldwide are justifiably seen by majority population as backward, sexist, violent and as terrorists.
12. Israel peddling American contacts, influence peddling
Steve Benassi ,   Plymouth, MN USA   (11.02.18)
... and embracing racist Right Wing Governments for short term gain, then two faced with the tide turns Left.

13. From the phalangist to MSB
Avi L.   (11.03.18)
After befriending anybody from the phalangist to MSB passing by Putin , all in a sudden this journalist get fidgety for the first of the above who has been elected?

Is it the real world where the bigger the gangster the nearer he gets to state's power? Or is it some ideal world of politically correctness?

There is really nothing to be destroyed, governments do what is convenient not what is "right"
14. Oban, Dutarte, Bolsanaro & Trump are natural allies of Bibi
Shachar ,   Eilat   (11.04.18)
In the 1930's a number of countries elected/acquired fascist gov'ts and these countries became the Axis powers. Today's extreme right wing leaders naturally see each other as allies and the liberal world as enemies. These leaders are a dream come true for Bibi and the right and obviously he will embrace them with all he has.
15. Today's Left is anti-liberalism, anti-peace and anti-freedom
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (11.05.18)
16. The Danger is Leftist Anti-Semitism
Alter Kocher ,   Maale Adumim   (03.12.19)
Bibi is wisely running Israeli foreign policy. He is wiser than the author. The progressive left is allied with traditional anti-Semites the Islamists against the Jewish people. Bibi believes in rewarding our friends and not our enemies. I say that is a "moral" policy. I will take my chances with Bibi over the treasonous left any day.
