As an Indian, I feel the article was honest and excellent. Love India. Love Israel.

Thanks for the article, but why is it all about poverty and misery in India. There are other positive things about India. Why not write about them? It has become fashionable it seems to describe India's poverty than to write about it's glorious history and recent progress.

To continue on my earlier comment...Israeli companies particularly in consumer goods segment should tap the enormous goodwill Indians have for israel and also the goodwill generated by your mission here and Ambassador Varnon in particular . Brands with value for money tailored to Indian needs will do well. After PMs Modi and PM Neta yahi high profile visits, the goodwill generated is even more and I don't see Israeli companies connecting with Indians particularly the middle class .

Another point missed is the complete lack of anti semitism in India, and the fact that 80000 Jews of Indian origin wear their Indian heritage with equal pride. Will it not be an article in itself ...

Apologies for adding this aa a fresh comment. Please merge it with my earlier comment.

Bye and Shalom

I read with your article with great interest. It was a great attempt trying to get into the indian psyche. However you have missed the coming middle class in India .Your article mentions poverty , which is endemic, but I read about acute homelessness and poverty in USA, something which people tend to gloss over and project only India. I think you should look at India afresh, like Ikea did, at the booming middle class which has population which Israeli companies can reap bountiful returns after studying needs carefully and try and ne patient..Things don't get done in a hurry here. Also western goods and brands though acceptable have to be customised. Vegan Israel meeting vegetarian India, for example can be a good meting point to start with.

Good luck and shalom!
