Ugly
2. stop the flawed narrative!
(11.17.18)
Jerusalem was *liberated* in 1967. It was occupied in 1948 by the Jordanian army.
3. Disgusting AP article with so many antiisrael libels.
(11.17.18)
The old city is a few minutes walk from the center of "Western" Jerusalem.
Silwan was a Jewish settlement until they were ethnically cleansed.
Not Arab but majority Arab neighborhoods.

Academia supporting ideology pick and choose is hypocrisy.

Always written on Shabbat how random of you.

Claims of judaising a Jewish city or any other is antisemitic.

A cable car will destroy the chance of peace and not the weekly or monthly attacks against Jews in the old city area nd neighborhoods you speak of?

Reliving 30% of bus traffic is a reason to do many things..

Not saying I agree with this cable car but what kind of journalism is this.

This subjective article read by many gives a falsepicture of the geography of Jerusalem and legal right amongst other issues.

Something you would find in AP not an Israeli newspaper.

4. Absolutely great idea, that meets the Usual Suspects'
(11.17.18)
disapproval/opposition.
There's nothing Disney-like in the project.
It is not like it lands you by the Wall.
It is simply a fun means of getting from A to B and it's outside the walls.
Let's hope that the sanctimonious and fantasy- challenged groups get outvoted.
5. What's bad for the enemy is good for us.

Well, since our enemies are against it, I support the project.
6. it will be an eyesore on the old city & not financially viab
zionist forever   (11.17.18)
This will make the Old City look ugly because a cablecar is an eyesore and the article is also correct about who will use it.
We the light rail for transport to and from the Old City and a cable car is no substitute for everyday use for either arabs or Jews.

The only people who will use it are tourists and the number of tourists and even they will just use it once because its a gimmick then not again so unless its going to actually going to make money the huge cost is not justified.
The underground train tunnel is a great idea because its practical but the cable car is ridiculous and probably is being built for political reasons.
7. There're so many other, real eyesores in Jerusalem: why not
(11.18.18)
tackle them?
The City on the Hill lacks some overreaching guidelines or maybe- our architects aren't that good?
Except for the somewhat naive "rule" of having to use sandstone for facade-cladding (dumb idea!) there seems to be a very poor quality design to most of Capital's buildings.
But maybe it's me....
8. Better focus on the underground
(11.18.18)
railway and light-rail. That could serve to a much wider spectrum of citizens and visitors on their daily commute without damaging the skyline. Do not make a Disneyland out of the holy city. I am from Czechia - Prague has become a tourist Disneyland and its city center has become impossible to live in for the locals.
