1. I get it now
DSM ,   USA   (11.15.18)
After reading this article I now know that giving military commanders what they need is not a good thing.. Better to let politicians decide what the military needs rather than the people who will command the IDF in the field, hopefully with an aim to win.

I really don't know if Lieberman was a good DM or not, but I do know that Bibi , during a time of military crisis, comes close to being a traitor to the people he is sworn to protect.
2. A not great loss for who???
claudio ,   nahariya   (11.15.18)
A not great loss for the leftist probably...….that don't want to suffer in the backyards in T.A...……
Is impossible to manage a war without fighting, because you have loose without defending yourself.
3. From the outset,Lieberman was gung-ho, hysterical, impetuous
Khalid Amayreh ,   Occupied Jerusalem   (11.15.18)
He doesn't maintain composure or mental equanimity
4. Lieberman the patriot!!!!
jhl ,   usa   (11.15.18)
I disagree Mr Lieberman is a patriot and constantly had his hands tied by the leftist politico,,, IE NETANYAHU!!!!!!!
5. Lieberman had a clear vision, Bibi only short term political
Avi L.   (11.15.18)
Lieberman had a clear vision, Bibi only short term political aims

Now it is only too easy to criticize him and call his declarations "hysterical proclamations" about ending the rule of a bunch of thugs at Israel doorstep while Bibi wanted to destroy a few things in Iran, and then yes, there would have been "hidden issues" of all kind

Now Bibi will have to give the defence minister to who? Bennet who doesn't seem much less "hysterical" about Gaza and Hamas or Bibi could take it for himself

Astonishing remains remains the fact that in these same pages Lieberman has been exalted several times

But, "sic transit gloria mundi" in this little world of Bibi's court
6. I don't remember one good decision come from any given
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto -Kiriat Gat   (11.15.18)
governement which Defence Minister succesed in his function as being reponsible on his department with out interferrence ???
Why need Defence Minister when PM dictated and override the defence evaluation sacrificing on politics?
7. Lieberman is genius
Adler J   (11.15.18)
As a Defense Minister, Lieberman election campaign is successful. President Putin loves him, Iranians even those in Syria are definitely afraid of him. Avigdor Lieberman resignation could mean he will became Prime Minister of Israel, the country will continue being safe, Trump could love Lieberman too. Bennet could be appointed Defense Ministery during Avigdor Lieberman administration & Netanyahu could replace Danon as Israel Ambassador to the UN...
8. LIEBERMAN
BEM ,   T/A   (11.15.18)
The loss of the Defence Minister whilst significant is not what this debate is about , it is about leadership from the very top to the bottom of this and every Government and unless people are either blind or dimwitted it is very apparent that the left hand of Likud plays no attention to the right hand of Likud .

Netanayu's ONLY GAME is to remain in power no matter the strategic or political fall out , he has no sense of being wrong about a thing (nor right either for that matter) , he jumps from coalition bed to coalition bed in daily romp to undermine any effort to which shows him in his real light - a good talker but nothing more.

Hamas BEGGED for a ceasefire uhm , maybe their threat to hit T/A carried far more weight than BB wants us to know and our much vaunted IRON DOME did not act as it should have .

Why has Hamas been allowed to rearm be so ready so strong they are not frightened any more of Israel and its leaders who act with such resolution Hamas must laugh themselves to sleep .

WAKE UP ISRAEL it is time for CHANGE
9. Bibi is A Leader, A Politician. What is liberman??? nobody.
ironbutterfly   (11.15.18)
10. No Surprise
Joe ,   Gush   (11.15.18)
Liberman's appointment to Minister of Defence was done with full knowledge of his inadequacies for the job. What is less understandable, is why it took so long. It appears that the current PM will tolerate incompetence in order to preserve the coalition until it becomes unbearable
11. a great loss
jochair thijssen ,   kfar saba israel   (11.15.18)
THe one with a clear vision for our defense has resigned, he will soon be called back.
12. What was expected of Avigdor Lieberman?
Alexander Scheiner ,   Israel   (11.15.18)
He has an European education, mind and culture. His Falastinian opponents are cultural and moral scum with a perverted ideology, without merci and thirst for Jewish blood.

Worse are his Israeli opponents bashing him. While I originally was not his fan, I understand that he did a good job. Who would have done better? One of those bigots?

For Zion

13. Moshe Arens
Setmose ,   Jerusalem   (11.15.18)
This was a good article until the last line. Arens was a good Defense Minister who championed missile defense at its beginnings, when people thought it was impossible. The Arrow system is his signature success, and Iron Dome is derivative of the Arrow technology. We would also have the Lavi fighter, if Rabin hadn't cancelled it at the USA's bequest.
14. Banana Republic
shachalnur ,   mexico   (11.15.18)
A country where a not-too-smart Moldovian night club bouncer becomes Defense minister is a Banana Republic.
15. surprisingly I think lieberman the bouncer was more sincere
Tehraniporou   (11.15.18)
rhan the political killer and intriguant bibi notenoughpraiseyahuuu.
