1. Fall from grace
Boaz   (11.16.18)
How could I turn from number one admirer of Netayahu to uterly disliking him?
Mr prime minister. you lost all credibility. Step down and do Israel a favour. Israel don't need cowards at the helm.
2. Excellent opinion edidorial, lucid and well-written.
Roberto Feldmann ,   Santiago de Chile.   (11.16.18)
The cabinet serves as a fig leaf for Netanyahu's autocracy of preserving his own behind on doing-nothing, over preserving Israel's security and deterrence. Israel sorely needs a selfless, principled and resolute statesman like a much matured, level-headed Yair Lapid. Don't fall for Bibi's "there's nobody but me". He is a compulsive politicker, - brilliant at it - but nobody to lead or defend Israel seriously and keeping deterrence and Israelis' safety as his first priority and the state's necessity.
3. Just the contrary !
RaphaĆ«l ,   Paris   (11.16.18)
Bennett is the best statesman Israel has had in the past 10 years. He has passion for Israel, he loves the country, loves the people of Israel. He deserves more than anyone else to become defense minister, and afterwards prime minister.
4. Cravenness doesn't pay!
Gavriel Rechov ,   Swingate, UK   (11.16.18)
Mr. PM, you are such a coward that you don't even dare to explain publicly the reasons why YOU WON THIS WAR against Hamas.

Deterrence has been established anew, but you don't know how to say it to the People.
5. Who is there not more cartoons?
(11.16.18)
This one was hillarious.
6. short term better for Netanyahu because he needs time
zionist forever   (11.16.18)
Gving Bennet the job for a short term might be what Netanyahu needs because Likud have dropped sigificantly in the polls and once the election campaign starts a mixture of uncontrolable events, opposition campaign and scandals means that on the day after elections Likud will probably have less than the current polled 29 seats so Netanyahu needs time to rebuild his image as strong man. Right now if he goes to an election he risks creating a situation where either Lapid or ZU might win even if they are the smallest party if the president thinks their chances of forming a coalition are better so right now its anybodies game considering the religious will not a join a coalition that includes Lapid so if if Netanyahu won he would need to choose between Lapid and the religious who will probably control 12-14 seats and of course the arabs are not an option but they will get about 12 so he might just end up just a few seats short of the minimum 61 and if ZU refuse to join a coalition I don't see how he can form a coalition because there are now new small parties such as Abraxas, Gantz etc and its the little insignifiacent parties that hold the balance of power because the political system doesn't work.
7. Bennett would be an excellent Defense Minister
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.16.18)
Being ambitious is a good thing, if you have something to offer. Bennett does. He has a long history of success in all his endeavors; from the army, to entrepreneurship to politics. Bennett is one of the very few rightist Israeli politicians who hasn't caved under pressure to abandon his principles. He would be an excellent Defense Minister.
8. Likud Fears ICC War Crimes investigation of 2014 Gaza War
Steve Benassi ,   Plymouth, MN USA   (11.17.18)
Bibi fears another Gaza War will force the ICC to prosecute Israel.
9. INDEED MR. BARNEA!
FO ,   Belgium   (11.17.18)
"Ben-Gurion dealt with existential issues"... Indeed, when he gave Rabin the order to shoot the "Altalena" and to try to kill Begin. Indeed an existential issue for Ben-Gurion, being in panic that Begin could eventually become the first PM! Begin who fought all his life for the creation of an independent Jewish state, even in the shadow of the gallows, while Ben -Gurion got convinced of the necessity of a Jewish state only in 1942 at the start of Hitler's "final solution"!
10. same old barnea
(11.17.18)
barnea seems to be dead from the neck up. anyone with half a brain realizes that netanyahu is a diplomat only. his work as commando only made him more averse to any type of combat. in fact he says openly he would do anything to avoid war.

Bennett has more battlefield skills than bibi ever had in my judgment. the idf has not had an action defense minister since sharon. it is about time that they had one. lieberman tried but seemed to turn into bibi #2. bibi is a flop in securiy. that he had been elected numerous times had more to do with the weakness of livni and herzog and now gabbay and lapid.

barnea is not alone. the strain of pacifism is hard to overcome in too many Israelis. and it goes back many years. even levi eshkol stammered about when Egyptian military invaded the Sinai. later he did well but not before.

Israel has to be sober and careful about war. but there are times to launch wars or heavy actions. netanyahu is incapable of such actions. Bennett is.

netanyhu cannot stand up to putin, to nasrollah and now to hamas. so what is there to talk about.
11. Bennett is a total disgrace
Shachar ,   Eilat   (11.18.18)
He's willing to sell out the right and israel's citizens just to warm the Defence Minister chair for a month. He's bacome a Bibi lackey, a featherweight in the cabinet who has rubberstamped the surrender to terror, rubberstamped supplying and arming Hamas while bad-mouthing his allies on the right and kissing the butt of the chief appeaser. What a joke.....
12. Bennet should stop believing his mom and the morning mirror
Tehraniporou   (11.19.18)
No one would like to see him as pm let alone as Dm. On the other hand we are waiting to see shaked begin operation sexy legs for the elections. She should officialise with me and start the divorce process
