1. So Mr Ben Dror Yemini has a bright idea
Grossmann ,   East Bridgewater   (11.21.18)
Which is to "forming an international and Arab coalition that will forge an outline to improve the situation of Gaza's residents in exchange for demilitarization". Which really means asking Arabs to convince Hamas to give up their weapons.

This article is at best delusional and at worst plainly hypocritical.
2. How do you acheive Security AND Palestinian Statehood
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (11.21.18)
When its clear that the conventional wisdom of a Palestine IN TWO PARTS Gaza and West Bank connected via a landbridge through Israel that Israel could close at a whim IS UNWORKABLE. In any case such separation undermines the integrity and cohesion of the state and could cause deep instability

When its also clear that NEITHER a Palestine in the West Bank or Gaza 'entity' can work independently of each other and negotiate separate permanent deals with Israel that could unravel in the blink of an eye

The goal is a unified viable sizeable CONTIGUOUS and SUCCESSFUL Palestinian State alongside Israel within mutually secure borders

Is it achievable?

In 1999 a group of Palestinian academics demonstrated how this could be acheived (1999 PEG Plan) that could create a viable and stable Palestine and go on on to develop into one of the most prosperous in the Middle East
3. moishe rabeynu
moishe   (11.21.18)
too many prime ministers and wannabes. sends the wrong message to Hamas, etc. they take advantage in confusion.
4. Israel needs to retake Gaza permanently
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.21.18)
The root cause of ALL our wars, terror, rockets etc., from Gaza, is our mad retreat from Gaza. Israel needs to retake Gaza permanently. Rebuild our beautiful, thriving communities there, and foster massive "Palestinian" departure. This can be done and it is the only real permanent solution. Israel's population is growing fast and we need our land back.
5. can't have security without confronting the problems
(11.21.18)
and solving them. one of the problems is that Hamas and its likes are sworn to the annihilation of Israel and there are only two solutions to this: either them or us being annihilated. I prefer them. Carpet-bombing can do the job without risking our precious soldiers' lives. Do not stop until a white flag waves from under the rubble. no more ceasefires. no more appeasement.
6. Israel stopped Hamas hitting 170 targets
Sam ,   Montreal   (11.21.18)
Israel stopped Hamas hitting 170 Hamas targets with no ground forces needed.
It's still quiet now. If Hamas starts up again then more than 170 targets are needed. It doesn't even look like more concessions are needed.
7. Hamas will never agree to demilitarization
SK ,   Tel Aviv   (11.22.18)
I thought Ben-Dror was much too smart to make such an absurd argument.
8. Avoiding confrontation is counter to IDF doctrine
Shachar ,   Eilat   (11.22.18)
In the army you are taught to seek out your enemy and attack him relentlessly. That is the only way you can win wars. This defeatist sit back and get hit is emboldening terrorists across the Middle East. Give up the western liberal doctrine of dragging out conflict and misery for millenia. Go in and destroy the enemy and if he puts his head up in the future you go in and do it again. Stamina and determination win, capitulation doesn't.
9. Israel can win Tactically, not Strategically, Demographics
Steve Benassi ,   Plymouth, MN USA   (11.24.18)
... will decide outcome of conflict in time, Israel can win all the Battles, but not the War.
10. "Our Land" belongs to descendants of Hebrews, Canaanites
Steve Benassi ,   Plymouth, MN USA   (11.24.18)
... Natufians, who are the Bedouin, Palestinians, Lebanese, not the White European Ashkenazi converts from Khazer.

11. Jews should fight to the death, outnumbered 100 to 1, Jewish
SteveBenassi ,   Plymouth, MN USA   (11.24.18)
... Death, a 2nd Masada.
