2. abuse against women and children must be stopped
already three thousand years ago the torah commanded us to take care
of women and children.
yet here we are today, in a liberated modern jewish state where abuse
of women in all its forms is a significant problem. their children
suffer with them and live with the consequences.
the jewish state must put an end to this horror and save the women
and children of domestic abuse regardless of their background.
we are commanded to do so.
the abusers must be incarcerated and laws punishing abusers
must be made more severe.
women and children are our most precious beings. they are our
presence and our future.
i call on the government, civil society and women in positions
of authority, but also from the grass roots, to act firmly and
decisively to eradicate this scourge from the jewish state of israel.
