Every time (and most of the times) the archeologists have not a slightest clue what an artifact they found was good for, they claim it has cult or religious nature, so it at the end it looks with all these findings like the ancients have no such worries as to feed and shelter themselves but only how to please spirits, ancestors and gods... A life full of spirituality they had back then, indeed...
