A lecturer whose behaviour is so disrespectfull to the society and acts so ideologically biased does not deserve to attend lectures in the so honored university.

This lecturer should be fired and made an example.

why would any professor take issue with a student soldier uniform when the soldier is protecting the state. if dress was inappropriate, then the professor should have respectfully issued a caution. hilfrich should apologize to the student;otherwise she should be fired on the spot. as for the other student complaining about the uniform, she has no place in the university. she should be expelled.

this conduct is unacceptable. if it happens again, one trace of it, both hilfrich and the complaining student should be booted right out of the university.

I graduated in the late 50ies from the Hebrew University. If such an incident would have occurred at that time, the students would chase out that lecturer. The fact that such incident could have happened the blame is on the lefty spirit created by the administration of the University. I am not proud anymore to be the graduate of this academic institute.

The professor was absolutely wrong in saying anything to the soldier and was just as wrong for not setting the Arab straight. As for the rest of the class which remained silent, their refusal to support one of their own is very distressing. What is wrong with them?? Or have they been so indoctrinated by the leftest HU administration that they agree with the Arab? Either way, it's very bad for the future of Israel.

As a University Professor in Australia who wears his Tzitzis out, and his Kippa, I would expect that Dr Hifrich’s politically correct humanistic world of תיקון, would object to me making Muslim students feel uncomfortable, nay threatened by my bombastic Judaised appearance. Feh! Hilfrich should be cautioned.

She is a philosophy lecturer and her argument was that the soldier can be proud of the uniform as much as the arab can be offended by it.
She forgot however that this is THE Jewish state and we don't seem to be offended with hijabs and burkas in lecture rooms. "She" mean to be read as the respect that this lecturer deserves.

I suggest that students who disagree with Carola Hilfrich's asinine behavior come to her class wearing the IDF uniform. However, the best way to protest her anti-Israeli attitude is to boycott her future courses altogether.
