Military preparedness is crucial. in the Hezbollah war, prior training and arms supply were not done efficiently. idf is an army that is slow to start, adapts and is very good on the counterattack after adjustment if it is permitted to counter. olmert and netanyahu both did not permit idf to counter effectively so the results were not decisive. the reason for this is that both olmert and bibi from personal experience are afraid of casualties. you cannot lead Israel if you fear casualties which is why bibi should have nothing to do with security.
