The price for an Iron Dome battery used to be around $50 million. Interceptors originally cost about $100,000 each, coming down to around $50,000 each. Then Raytheon earned co-production rights (initially to the interceptor), and the Tamir now goes for $150,000, with other components also going up in price. Is this what happens when American defense contractors eye the richer US customer?
