1. China is no friend; business is war
Joe ,   Fort Lauderdale   (01.22.19)
No disrespect to the Chinese but they treat business like war. They are not friends of Israel. Look at their position on many issues. They are often against Israel in the UN. Further, they are in Israel to steal. Its true. They do not respect any intellectual property rights and are look to have a position or advantage over Israel. Chinese should be monitored and their access should be controlled. Don't listen; they will ultimately prove me right.
2. The Truth hurts

Read the 36 strategies; Read March's The Chinese Negotiator. The Chinese learn these mores in elementary school. They are not about win win only taking avantage of opportunties and weaknesses. Israel has no gauxi / protexia with the Chinese. BEWARE.
3. Nothing that the Chinese know about war/business/politics is

strange to us, The Eternal People.
I am stoically assured, we shall weather any development concerning world-markets, mega-political moves & such trivia!
4. China is not one to trust
GHook93 ,   Chicago   (01.25.19)
Do I see a war brewing btw China and the US, no F'ing way. Both sides know that it would be utterly destructive and would destroy their economies. China still has a communist totalitarian government, but they have opened up to capitalism, private property and free enterprise. And America is their biggest customer.

However, they are not one's to trust and the US is right in being cautious and warning Israel!
5. China is dangerous for Israel
London   (02.05.19)
I admire the Chinese nation but also appreciate that Israel appears to have a very short-term way of approaching that relationship. So, some points:
1. Israel has few people who understand Chinese languages and that is crucial in keeping an eye on visitors and workers. That is a problem.
2. Israel has a significant balance of trade deficit with China and over time it will only increase. That is also a form of colonial control. Whose poodle do you choose to be? It is an important choice!
3. China does not respect international commercial norms of behaviour and that is what the whole trade war between the USA and China is really about. Only the USA is big enough to challenge this situation. Over time, it can only get worse for Israel unless it takes a stand early in the relationship.
4. If China cannot take technology, it buys it as a last resort. Unless Israel is selling last years fashion items to China, trust is a big issue here and one that is not close to being resolved with the USA let alone with China. So, why does Israel provoke its closest ally, the USA? Unless the USA is also drawing away from Israel.
5. A measure of the intent within a relationship is to demonstrate long termism. China has invested nothing in Israel in terms of cultural interchange. Except perhaps for the loan (of a few months duration only) of a few trinkets and some sculptures for a small exhibition some years ago at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Putting down permanent cultural roots requires investment which China has almost unlimited resources for. But not in Israel. That is a significant negative message to anyone willing to listen.
Globally, there are 1,800 million Muslims and maybe 15 million Jews. China has done the math and is exploiting Israel for short term benefit only. It uses and abuses Israel in every international forum because in Chinese eyes Israel simply does not count in the long term. Thinking that it is possible to ride on a giants back without one day falling off and being crushed to death by it is naïve to the point of suicidal.

China is buying up many tech businesses in the world in order to get technology secrets that allow them to make same in China, reduce jobs, and undercut other makers.with low costs. China is bleeding Israel technology which robs future income and jobs that will weaken the economy. short tem gain and long term pain.
7. Chinese Cornering the Market
Ira Braverman ,   Jerusalem   (04.28.19)
As an expert in the local Israeli construction industry, we see that Chinese companies, bidding on large infra structure projects are often 15-20% cheaper than either American or European competitors. That is because the Chinese construction companies are for the most part government owned entities that receive that 15-20% subsidy from the Government and in essence create a monopolistic and non competitive playing field not only in Israel but elsewhere around the world.. The point that America is making is that considering that Israel is the beneficiary of billions in American aid, then their companies should be given a 15% or so price allowance in their tender prices in order to allow the US to compete falrly for the work. In other countries, America may not have the same clout and American firms are pushed out of the market.
